Everything going for this resort. Quiet, good setting and close to nature with great rooms. Unfortunately they don't do food or drink so it's a 17km jaunt into Nan to get food and Nan has very few restaurants doing simple Thai food. I've been to Nan countless so times and got fed up with the overpriced hotels there hence my stay here. Great potential for a busy resort but only two rooms let, why ? No food or even a simple coffee in the morning. I will stay there again as its in a wonderful setting.

Hotel located on a large landscaped area. good for parking but you should check if your room has water ( sometimes don't).It is about 15km from Nan past the airport so if you are hungry they can provide some basic fried rice and it takes time. come prepared

The Resort is around 20 kms north of Nan City, pretty isolated, and just to the side of the main Nan to Papua road. There is nothing much of interest close to the Resort. The Resort has extensive grounds on the side of a hill, steep in parts, with lots of landscaping including a lily pond. However it all looks a bit run down and in need of some TLC. The good thing is that they have new owners, who we met, who took over around November who are planning a gradual series of major improvements so hopefully the Resort will be able to fulfil more of its potential. All my comments below are based on the Resort as it is without taking into account any planned improvements. The rooms seem to be divided into two parts, a series of blocks which seem to house more dormitory type accommodation and then further up the hill a number of semi-detached 'villas'. We (4 of us) stayed in two of the rooms in the villa section. The rooms were definitely small, and looked very plain and tired. Décor was very plain/minimalist and as often in Asian budget hotels, the décor finish left a lot to be desired with many spots left bare! However, the rooms were clean and had the basic necessities. The mattresses were fine though we were told that they had just been replaced earlier that day. They were obviously larger than before and significantly overhung the bed supports but at least they were fairly comfortable. There was one rickety cupboard and a desk and a couple of OK chairs. There was a mini fridge but no coffee/tea making facilities, mini safe, or hair dryer. There was not even a phone in the room even though the official resort photos showed a phone as being available! I didn't bother checking about internet access though I did see a PC in the dining room area. There was one available power socket in the room and a shaver plug in the bathroom. The TV was tiny, only a 12 or 14 inch CRT, but they did have satellite TV and there were around 100 channels available. However it was nearly all Thai programmes plus a few Myanmar and China Channels and even a few Indian channels – but no English language programmes apart from some sports. Views from the room down the hill and gardens to the main road and across up the opposite hill were fine though not spectacular. It can get quite foggy in the mornings. The bathroom was also tiny and run down but clean. There was a shower in a small bath though the shower nozzle attachment was extremely short and one had to crouch far down in order to take a shower! There was though a mini garden next to the shower/bath behind a pane of glass which at least made the room look more interesting. Breakfast was taken in a separate building a hundred metres or so away from the bedrooms, up a hill. There is no choice of food offered and we each got given a plate with a fried egg, some slices of fried ham (at least better than the usual waterlogged ham one gets often in Thai hotels) some slices of fresh cucumber and tomato and a separate plate of fried mini frankfurters to share between us. There was also a kettle with small jars of coffee, coffee-mate and sugar and sachets of tea and ovaltine. There was also a toaster with a packet of sliced white bread and on the table a plate of butter pats and jam sachets. We also were given a glass of fresh orange juice each. So, not great, but it was eatable and enough to fill one up. They have a restaurant but we were told it was closed but whether it was because it seemed we were the only guests or whether the owners hadn't yet hired a chef (the new owners cooked breakfast) was not clear. There are no alternative eating places nearby so you must use your vehicle to go and obtain food – though the resort was quite happy to lend you some dishes & cutlery if you brought back a take-away, as we did. The resort does have a very small selection of soft drinks in the area by Reception. We found the owners and other staff to be friendly and helpful and had no problems on that front. English was limited though so best if you have a Thai speaker in your group. Plenty of parking was available at different spots around the resort. However, note that even going up to the rooms involved walking up a number of steep steps so this resort is no good for you if you have walking difficulties.
