I've stayed there before and I really liked it. The hotel has a quiet atmosphere and isn't crowded.

We were very impressed. The room was spacious and had a beautiful river view. The swimming pool was also large and the kids loved it. All the staff provided excellent service, and the receptionist, Eve, was very helpful and gave great advice.

We stayed at the Riverine Place Hotel, Feb 1 to Feb 5. We had booked a studio. The photos on Hotels.com website were very nice of this room. We were never told the hotel was having major renovations and was very outdated. Hotels.com did not mention on the website that there were renovations going on. Unfortunately, when we checked in the room, it was very outdated. It needs renovation/painting etc. The building was also noisy due to construction from the renovations. Neem the receptionist was nice to us. We asked her for a better and quieter room. We were shown another one, but that was exactly the same as the first one. Then Neem suggested we go into a one-bedroom apartment. Her communication in English isn’t good and I thought she said there was no extra charge because of the situation. However, after we saw the room and agreed to it, we were asked to pay a lot more extra for the 4 nights, in addition to amount paid through Hotels.com. This was at the insistence of the manager. We advised that we didn’t need the kitchen etc., just a better room. We had already paid for the breakfast at their hotel and were going to be dining outside the hotel also. Neem said this was the only option and her manager (not present at the reception area, just talked over the phone) was not going to give us the room if we did not pay the extra amount. We had booked a fully refundable rate but had already gone past the non-refundable deadline, so we were stuck. We didn’t use the kitchen. The wi-fi is the worst that you will encounter, terible, it gets cutting off, each devise needed its long sign in and long passwords although not secure and had to get the technician and the receptionist to come into our room to fix it, a few times. In addition, it is far from the ferry stop and way out of the city. The only good side is a good breakfast and the very helpful staff there and the very nice swimming pool.
