Golden Dragon

You get what you pay for! Cheap hotel but nothing to write home about. Reasonably clean but a dead cockroach was left on the bathroom floor for 2 days - I think the maid was in the middle of cleaning and left for some reason and forgot to finish off as she left her cleaning cloth in the sink! Water in the shower was never hot. No hair dryer and none available. Breakfast was good. Towels changed every day. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. However could not believe the receptionist who asked for the PIN NUMBER for my credit card!!! Opposite the Mall which was convenient but a bit out from the centre of Bangkok.

This place is a little old and out of date but a GEM for the cost. Clean. BUT the best part of this place is the FOOD. This is the best dim sum EVER. The Lemon Chicken is amazing also. My favorite is "lard nah" or the thick rice noodles with gravy on top. This place is a hidden gem.

so convenient just opposite The Mall Ngamwongwan. good for discreet activities. and a wee bit authentic off the beaten track accomodation. risk factor... High.
