The Club Residence Holiday Apartment

The room we stayed it didn't have pest control, it was full of ants, all in the fridge, cupboards, we couldn't keep food for minutes without it being covered in insects. The room was not cleaned for our arrival. My girlfriend requested that we changed rooms but we weren't allowed. The actual management for the place were brilliant. Lovely people, very genuine!! If it wasn't for them we would of had a totally different experience. Although, the receptionist that works there - WATCH OUT! She ripped us off, charged us more for our room so she could make profit - and didn't tell her boss! (management). We also planned a trip to phi phi island with her on our last few days together, which she also ripped us off for. She arranged our trip over the phone in thai which turned out to be one of her friends. When we arrived to phi phi we realised she had sent us on a trip we didn't ask for! This lady put the management in an awful position and we felt awful that it had happened. If you're going to stay here, be very wary! We would stay here again but would ensure we had a better quality room and we'd be aware.

found a suitable place in Club Residence , right opposite the Aussie Pub wi. True they are old and currently being given a coat of paint on the outside ... The pools needs love and more care , but at this time of year April May Kamala is dead.... its only expat locals and a few others holidaying here... am not sure if 38-40 degrees everyday puts people off ... but I have to say Kamala is nothing special ....As a solo traveller , I would go close to saying its Boring !!! I was going to compare Kamala to Seminyak.. But that's not possible , Seminyak is years better then Kamala or Surin . Maybe good for families or anyone who wishes to not be found....... The upside , am getting plenty of undisturbed rest , as there is no housing keeping , no room service

We were 8 of us, two families , We found the hotel clean, very courteous staff, breakfast not full spread but they will make whatever you want, nice pool, Kamala beach mins walk. Special mention of Kun Sai (customer relation) and Sunil (Chef). Would go there again for sure!!
