Withdrawal after 14 days of residence Overall assessment: 7/10** Honey Resort left rather a positive impression. This is not a modern resort hotel with a high level of service, but a good budget option for holidays in Kata and Carona. The main plus is location. For Level 2* it would be a great option, for 3* it would be a confident middle ground. During our stay (June 2026), some rooms were updated with cosmetic renovations. Location The hotel is located between Kata and Karon beaches. * Kata – about 800 m. * Karon – just over 1 km. Both beaches are convenient to walk to. There's a slight climb on the way to Karon, but the route is easy. Silence is an important advantage. The hotel is located on the second line from the main road, so there is almost no traffic noise. Infrastructure nearby Walking distance has everything you need. To the right of the hotel is the Kata night market with a large selection of inexpensive food. On the left is about 200 m away a large 7-Eleven with a pharmacy. About 350 m away is a beautiful Chinese temple. Smart Bus and local bus stops are 150 metres away, providing convenient access to Phuket Town and other parts of the island. Territory The grounds are compact but cozy. It can be seen that some zones already require updating. Got it: * swimming pool; * Green area with sunbeds; * Breakfast restaurant; * Parking; * Free Wi-Fi; * Beach towels; * separate smoker. No deposit required upon check-in. There is NO microwave and no iron! Basin During our holiday, the pool did not look clean enough: sand and suspension were visible at the bottom. It's probably better served in high season. Number We lived in a Pool Access room on the ground floor. The room is spacious, simple but comfortable. Available: * refrigerator; * safe; * TV; * hair dryer; * Two umbrellas; * balcony with furniture; * Two bottles of water daily; * instant coffee, sugar and cream. From dishes - mugs and spoons, thermos. Bathroom The bathroom is spacious, with a large shower area. Shampoo, liquid soap, cotton pads and toothpicks are provided. There is no separate soap near the sink. Water and air conditioning The water is always the same temperature - cool. The main disadvantage of the room is the very noisy air conditioning. I had to sleep in earplugs. If you are sensitive to noise, be sure to consider this point. Sleep and comfort The bed is large and comfortable. The linen looks tired in places, but it's always been clean and changed regularly. The cushions are stiff and tall. I should mention in particular the quality tight curtains with good blackout - rare for budget hotels. Smoking Smoking is officially prohibited in the territory. For me as an asthmatic, that was a plus. In practice, individual guests did smoke on the balconies, but in the common smoking areas we hardly met any smokers. Staff The staff left a very good impression. Cleaning was done daily: changing towels, taking out garbage, maintaining order. Employees are always kind and try to help. Keep in mind everyone speaks almost only Thai, but will always help. Breakfast Weak spot in the hotel. Every day there are eggs, toast, rice or noodles, sausages, ham, vegetables, dry breakfasts, tea and instant coffee. Breakfast is enough for a short rest, but in two weeks they are noticeably annoying. The hotel will do: Travellers without transport; * For hiking enthusiasts; * Those who travel extensively on the island; Tourists with limited budgets; * those for whom location is more important than hotel infrastructure. Who won't (if it's important to you): * A variety of breakfasts; * Modern repairs; * Good swimming pool; * Long-term residence. Total Honey Resort should be chosen primarily because of its location. Despite noisy air conditioning, weak breakfasts and sometimes tired grounds, the hotel offers spacious rooms, good staff, developed infrastructure around and convenient access to two beaches at once. For a week or a week and a half, I would have no problem staying here again. For a longer rest, would probably look for a more comfortable option. Thanks to the staff for their service!

Well, there. A sure plus is the walking distance of the sea. Also of the good I can mention the spacious, though tired room and the fact that they give out beach towels, which means you can not take your own in the suitcase. The cons are not categorical, but there are many :( 1. No kettle in the room. We'll have to go down to the dining room for morning coffee. 2. No soap on the sink, only on the shower wall :/ Not even a glass under toothbrushes. And not a single hook in the bathroom. Not comfortable. 3. There's only one Russian channel (RTR) and for some reason it only worked for me for one day. 4. Breakfast is a disaster. Thought I was unpretentious, but here it's minimal. One "hot" (rice or noodles), ham sausages and eggs. Muesli cereal. A slurry called "soup base". Cabbage, pickles, green tomatoes. Toast and soft waffles. Instead of butter, a vegetable spread. Jams of two kinds. For dessert, oreo cookies. Watermelon, pineapple, fruit salad. OK. Literally, that's it. No cheeses, meats, pastries, desserts, choices and variety for you:/ 5. Lunch box for travel. Juice, biscuit bar, tangerine, plane bun, pseudo-butter, but no appliances, and therefore no knife :( So if you really don't care much where you sleep, it's okay. But still, when you go on vacation, you want more comfort. And since there were other offers in this price segment, I regret choosing this particular hotel.
