51 Fashion Hotel

The hotel is nice with very friendly staff, their English language is not that good but they try their best to help you. The 2 rooms which we used were spacious and tidy, but they had an issue with lighting (not so bright) and the bathroom doors were sliding doors which sometimes get stuck! Bathrooms with no ventilation can cause an issue after eating Tai food 😁

Stayed here 2 years ago, It was named Manathai Hotel then, It's changed name twice since then, firstly New Norton Hotel, name is still above reception, and now 51 fashion hotel. Whover is managing the hotel is doing a very poor job, there's been zero investment in maintenance, its deteriorated so much since my last stay. Second elevator never repaired, broken toilet doors replaced with a shower curtain, rooms looking tired and old, pool decking in need of serious attention, very dangerous for children. It's a shame because the hotel has so many good points, good location, nice size pool, rooms bigger than most hotels in Hua-Hin and lovely staff. If everything was refurbished I'd come back every year.

POSITIVES : Fantastic location, 5 minute walk to beach, Walking Street and 2 minutes to Night Market. Supermarket next door, restaurants and services all within 100m of hotel. Location 9/10. Large, clean well appointed room, albeit showing its age a little. TV great for farrangs. Paid extra for Ocean view which is actually glimpses only. Room 8/10. Staff, generally helpful, housekeepers excellent. Staff 7.5/10. NEGATIVES: Everything else. If you're seeking the resort experience do not stay here. Common areas unclean and poorly maintained, tiles missing from walls, paint peeling and only one elevator working which is a long term problem. Pool area a disgrace and certainly nothing like web page photos. Pool reasonably clean but surrounding area filthy with rubbish and building materials everywhere. Pool furniture broken and dirty. Broken pitplants with dead plants does not add to appeal. Clearly never maintained at all. Common areas and pool 1/10. Overall you get what you get what you pay for. Photos of room view and pool area.
