Kings Home Hua Hin

Booked this home-stay on the basis of reviews I read on TA. It turned out to be the biggest mistake of my life. Right from the moment the Tuk Tuk entered into the street where Kings Home is situated, I got the feeling that something bad has happened. When the Tuk Tuk stopped in front of it and I looked at it, it was complete nightmare. The room: (pictures speak for itself) Couldn't believe that I made such a huge mistake. three beds were stuffed in place of 2 bed-room. No place to put your luggage. Room filled with unnecessary antique things, Rugs hanging on wall for no reason. Completely deceptive. And that too in the price of 950 baht/day. Upon inquiring, the owner told the room rent is 800baht/day for walk-in customer. Which was still unjustified for such a pathetic place. My mistake was that I had already paid for this room for 2 days by credit card. Right after check-in, we went out for the whole day, as it was unbearable for us to stay in the room. It felt that we would choke to death if we stayed in the room. We returned to hotel after 10 pm. As we slept, a spider crawled over me !!! Which kept me awake the whole night. The next morning I decided to move out and forgo the 2 night's payment. I searched and got a super clean room in just 590 baht/day !!! And moved out immediately. I was amazed hoe this hotel got so many good reviews. Upon looking again, I realized that all those reviews are fake, as the reviewers have very brief profiles. Totally disgusting, Worst nightmare of my life. And I am not exaggerating. See the pictures, attached as proof.

Lovely! I originally stayed 3 nights and extended it to 9, as the family is very welcoming and Hua Hin is a fascinating city. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Arunee (who speaks excellent English & Bahasa Indonesia!),as she went out of her way to make my visit memorable- even taking me to a temple for a full-moon ceremony. The place is quirky, with numerous artefacts from all over the world, and that just adds to its charm. Hua Hin can be a noisy city but you are on a quiet soi right in the heart of town. Very near the night market and a songthaew 'station' for trips elsewhere - including the Cicada Market. I would return to King's Home in a heartbeat.

This family run guesthouse is located close to the Hua Hin beach and the night market. In other words, the location is great. The place is cozy with with an antique feeling to it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool was ok and the aircon worked really well. For this price it,s a great guesthouse. Well worth it.
