Nishaville Resort

The undermmaned staff tried their best. A mountable task to handle a worn down "resort" with almost no means to do so. A hard working but sweaty gardener came to pick us up in an old rusty unsafe 3-wheeler. I got oily dirt on my new white pants that never got clean again.

Third time staying at Nishaville, and we have enjoyed it every time. We have stayed in both the apartments and the villas. This time, we stayed in a two-bedroom villa. Having self-catering is great, allowing us to prepare our own breakfast. Sitting on the terrace in peace, looking at the ocean while eating breakfast, is simply wonderful. For lunch and dinner, it’s best to eat at one of the village’s 47 restaurants. We spent a lot of time by the pool near the apartment building. In previous years, there was a lot of talk about villa guests staying at their own pool and apartment guests at theirs, but this year, no one seemed to care. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. For us, that pool was better for the kids since it’s a bit shallower. The ocean was not swimmable during our stay due to a red flag for three weeks, which was a bit disappointing, but of course, not the hotel’s fault. Still, it was a peaceful and relaxing time. One of the best things about this village is the laid-back atmosphere—there’s no tourist rush like in other parts of Thailand. The beach is free from vendors, it stretches for miles, and there’s plenty of space for everyone. No one fights over sunbeds, the food is amazing, and everyone loves searching for the pancake man after dinner. We will definitely be back! Oh by the way, the staff is so friendly and helps out everytime you need anythig. And there are some amazing animals living on the property. Friendly and like hugs.

After months of Covid 19 lockdown and quarantine, it is great to finally travel down south for a breath of fresh air. Safety measures and social distancing are still in place but a ray of hope for the tourism industry is just around the corner. Still nothing beats the sight of the ocean on a cloudy morning after over a 4 hour drive from Bangkok City. Skeletal staff provides the same hospitality and amenities are well maintained in the midst of the new normal. Of course, continue to stay safe and healthy.
