Ploen Amphawa Resort

At the cost of S$74, it is a ripped off. The look on the booking site Hotels.com is quite misleading. Luckily I booked only a night and managed to quickly book its neighbour which is more a resort and also properly managed. Given the fact that there are so many homestay in the floating market area, one has to be extra careful in selection and not misled by the title/name of the hotel. As a general rule, "hotels" with basic amenities are essentially homestay or no-star hostels, not hotels, let alone "resorts.

Fabulous location on the canal near market shops. Not really enough room for family unless you are all very cosy so better for singles and couples. River can rise to front shutters which are the doors. Great traditional experience, highly recommend.
