Baan Suan Tongma

Bungalows are big and confortable, the pool is the cleanest I ever see in this Island and the location is the best right in Tong Sala, near the pier and the food market. I love this place, the owners Rob and Jub are lovely and helpful people in all the ways!!

The place is charming with many fishes, and a bird. The welcome was perfect, we've booked for three nights during Christmas week, we stayed one more night because we enjoyed the place a lot. We booked for 2 but finally there was 3 of us, but the staff was cool so it wasn't a problem for them to add up a bed. We were upgraded because the hotel was full with a bedroom in front of the swimming-pool. During our stay the staff took us to a lot of different places where there were a just few tourists, and with a beautiful seaview. I strongly recommend this place for a good holiday !

We arrived at the pier and we tried to get a taxi to the hotel. To our surprise many of the taxi Drivers did not know where Baan Suan Tongma was but they finally did..luckily. As usual we had to wait for the taxi to be full and then proceeded to our hotel. We were welcomed by Fa (his name means Sky) who offered to send us to the city centre to get some food as we were so hungry. He brought us to Nira's home bakery which serves very decent organic food and picked us up an hour later! The room we got was very big with Ensuite toilet and kitchenette and we were so impressed with the size and cleanliness. They have a pool just outside our bungalow and yes we got friendly neighbors whom we made friends with! Fa later brought us to the night market in the evening which we highly recommend if you want to try some local Flavours! The place is some distance from Haad Rin but it's quiet and cosy. We managed to go to the Waterfall party and NYE Full Moon Party for the two nights we stayed there. Do get a namecard if you are going to take the taxi around as we had a bit of trouble telling the Drivers the location. The owner is a very kind and hospitable lady! She made sure that we were well taken care of and let Fa send us to the pier when we were leaving Ko Phangan.
