Haadyao Bayview Resort & Spa

I have been a regular guest at this hotel for about three years and always stayed for long periods of time, usually one to three months. Until now, I genuinely loved this place and recommended it to others. Unfortunately, this stay completely changed my opinion. I booked and paid for 26 nights but checked out early with 11 nights left because the situation became unbearable. Out of those 15 nights, there were serious noise disturbances during 9 nights. The main issue was repeated late-night noise caused by different guests. Groups and individuals were loud at night, talked outside, played music, had phone and video calls, slammed doors and ignored quiet hours. I tried addressing them myself, which resulted in being ignored, laughed at or treated disrespectfully. This felt unsafe and uncomfortable. O course I also tried addressing this to the reception multiple times and reported it repeatedly, but there was never a lasting solution. The disturbances always involved different guests, and I was told theres not much they can do. I changed rooms once and was offered other rooms later on, but all of them were clearly located in areas where nighttime noise was to be expected again. My own suggestions and messages regarding this were partly ignored. I understand that noise can come from guests. However, a hotel can and must enforce basic nighttime rules, especially when the same problem keeps occurring. In this case, that did not happen. What made the situation even more frustrating was that some of my WhatsApp messages to the hotel about noise issues and room change requests were not even read or answered. When I finally said I could not continue staying under these conditions, I was told there was nothing that could be done and that a refund was impossible. I understand that refunds are usually not granted. However, this was not because I changed my travel plans or other reasons, but because the hotel failed to ensure restful nights and to handle an ongoing issue appropriately, so some goodwill toward a long-term guest would have been appropriate. Nine disturbed nights out of fifteen is not acceptable. I tried to message the management directly but got ignored here too. I can no longer recommend this hotel to anyone who values sleep, calm and professional guest management.

Go your way. The room was not the reserved one at all: dark, dilapidated, dirty. Filled with huge spiders, animals in bed and the sheets were dirty! I think I had bedbugs because of this hotel because my buttons started just after my night, and given the quality and cleanliness it would not surprise me. Staff more than unpleasant, do not answer requests, do not help to order a taxi, always say no because have the femininity to help you! No smile at the reception Do not choose this hotel value for money

The location of the structure (near the beach) and the Quality of food (I had lunch and dinner here twice and I am satisfied, from this point of view) unfortunately do not compensate for other aspects already highlighted by other users and observed also on the basis of my personal experience. The rooms are large but quite basic, to get to the upper levels there are also internal passages with important slopes, so if I had to go down from the room to the reception I expect then a fairly challenging climb back to the room; the Food Service, although the kitchen was good, was relatively slow. Last but not least, the lady at the reception often denoted quite rough attitudes, certainly not "Welcoming", and on the last night (at a Full Moon Party) I noticed that the keys to the rooms left by the guests remained unattended on the reception counter, so any guest could take other keys as well - I can also think that it was a contingent situation dictated by that particular event, but this also raises security issues. If I were to return to Koh Phangan, I would not return here.
