Either we were in a different resort, or the management has changed. We have also been traveling to Samui, Maenam, and Ban Tai Beach for 30 years. This year, my adult son and his girlfriend, along with me, coincidentally ended up at the Adarin. We had bungalows 105 and 106. My (our) review: The beds were excellent; after two hotels (3 nights) in Bangkok (concrete pillows), I finally slept well again. Our room would have been cleaned every day (I am fine with every other day), the air conditioning was excellent (new), the TV had perfect reception, there was a kettle, and coffee, etc. was replenished every day along with two bottles of water (glass bottles!). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they all spoke fluent English. Scooter rental was without problems; they even inform you beforehand that you are responsible for any damages, and photos are taken of the scooter. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. The toilet was new. The pool and view were excellent, with a small illuminated area. A small wooden bridge next to a small artificial pond leads to the facilities. We had bungalows in the back area and still had only about 60 meters to the beach, and that for 1,200 Baht. What more could one want? I will come back next year.

We chose this hotel because of the relatively good ratings we had seen online and because we already knew the beautiful beaches of Mae Nam. Unfortunately, after 15 days in this hotel, the experience was a real disappointment, and we were very happy to change location and hotel. Apart from the quiet atmosphere, the location, and the breakfast, everything else was negative. Cleanliness was very poor: the bed linen was never changed during our 15-day stay, the bathroom mirror was never cleaned, the beach mattresses and tables were covered with bird droppings, the terrace was not swept, and the bath towels were torn and worn out. This is unacceptable. The only positive point is the small swimming pool, which was clean and usable. The general condition of the hotel is bad and clearly neglected. Everything is worn out and deteriorated. During our stay, two guests were injured when a rotten wooden floorboard at the bar broke; one of them had to be taken to hospital. The broken board was only replaced three days later. Many areas are rusty, decayed, and potentially dangerous. Night lighting is minimal or not working. It is obvious that no real investment has been made in this hotel for a long time. At €100 per night, this property is absolutely not worth the price. Several other guests we spoke to shared the same opinion.

The bed is hard; it doesn't have springs, just wooden slats. We had a beachfront villa, but the room was small: there was no trash can, no table to put your glasses, keys, etc. There was nowhere to put your suitcase (it had to go on the floor). The breakfast was bad... the coffee and bread were terrible! We had booked 7 nights, and after the 3rd night, we went to another resort. We asked to speak to the manager, and for three days, no one attended to us or listened to us... only the receptionist, who couldn't make any decisions, since if the hotel had emailed Booking.com, they could have refunded us the nights we didn't want to stay there... but no one helped us! At reception, they said for 3 days that the manager was busy, etc
