Laem Set Inn

the laem set in is located in the deep south near the cape on koh samui and we stayed in a bamboo bungalow i the second row which was decorated very nice. the romms are small, but we found everything we needed during our stay in this resort. the bathrooms are tiny and very close to the nature, but realy extraordinary furnished. there is a small beach in front of the resort. the water is very calm, because there are protecting rocks and it is also easy to stay with children at the laem set in. the hotel offers many different kinds of bungalows and villas, which are hidden in the djungle. further there is a sunset bar on the area near on the top of the mountain and also a native space observatory for a perfect star watching at night. the restaurant is very good but expensive and the staff is very helpfull in any case of your interrests. a motocicle rental, laundry service and pick up service from and to the airport is also available. at large we had a great stay at the laem set in and we can recomment this resort very much.

We stayed at Laem Set Inn in January 2009 for a few nights. It was just the 4 of us at the whole place. Day 2 we heard they´ve been bought up by one of the big hotel chains. Someone said Hilton but I don´t really know. We were back in July 2009 but stayed at Centara wich is next door to laem set. And when we walked over the morning after we arrived we saw that tha place was all shut down. No restaurant, most of the bungalows were gone and they had marked the grounds to start building something else there....I hope not a big hotel complex :-( I just wanted to let eeryone now so that you don´t try to book anything via e-mail or something. But appart from that The beach and village of Laem Set is wonderful & if you go there make sure to visit the village down the road 4 minutes downhill from centara. Stop at Cocobola Café and I promise you will leave with a few new friends for life :-)

It was actually 1995 that we were confronted with a travel agents nightmare hotel. The next morning I took off on a bus heading south and walked into the Laem Set Inn. within seconds I made my decision and returned in their Suzuki 4WD to collect my wife and three daughters None of us have stopped talking about our week spent at Laem Set Inn and to this day we recomend it our friends (We would not be caught dead on a luxery cruise liner. To us that would be purgatory) and they continue to come back raving about their perfect resort. Very old world luxery rather than glitzy Food was amazing. Wines superb. Hospitality and the kindness of all the staff was unending and privacy respected. Our children, 7,9 &10 attended the school with the owners children and they still talk about their best holiday ever as do our friends we send there. If it is glitz you want then maybe not the place, but if your looking for a blissful resort than I believe Laem Set Inn is still the place My photos are pre dig other wise I would post them
