Plumeria Place Residence Samui

Really great time in Samui at Jame's place - Pulmeria 43. The location was great and convenient and overall really quiet. Here are a few highlights of the pros and cons from our stay there: The local site manager, Sue, was extremely responsive and helpful. Our suitcases were delayed the first night and she was very helpful in contacting the airline that evening and the next day. The next day we met with her and she spent time giving us advice and getting us oriented around the villa. The best advice was to rent a car. We were hesitant at first but after talking with her we decided to rent a car which she helped arrange. The car was dropped offed and picked up from the villa. Super convenient and best decision we made on the trip. The villa itself was nice and spacious which comprised of the main living area with kitchen, the main sleeping building, the pool, and a covered outdoor patio area. Very convenient and large enough for a family or two couples traveling together. Upon arrival the refrigerator was stocked with some eggs, milk, water, some muffins, and orange juice! That was a really nice touch. We did have a few issues with the villa but Sue and James were very responsive. Wifi and internet connection was not so great and at first the router/modem kept dropping out. Two days later the tech said it was a bad power adapter but even after that the connection kept dropping probably because it was an old fashioned DSL connection. When it was up it was very fast but still not reliable. As we were leaving there was talk of upgrading to fiber optic service so if you’re a digital nomad I suggest checking to see if the service was upgraded. One thing to note that took us by surprise is that the grounds crew (Lawn and pool) was able to walk in and out of the villa property without notice. It was startling at first to see some stranger out of the corner of your eye just appear. You get used to it after a while but you do need to be sure that you’re not caught off guard. Overall really great time in the villa and Samui and would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay here at plumeria place. The house was great - just as we expected from the pictures and the others reviews. Close to Fishermans village & many restaurants. There is a carport - we rented a car for our stay which was very convenient for getting around the island. There was security on premises 24 hours per day. Kia the manager was very responsive even though she was away from the island at the time of our visit. Would definitely stay here again when returning to Ko Samui.

On arrival we (4 adults) were greeted by the owners rep frantically trying to complete the cleaning of our villa. Quite friendly and of European (England) origin but lacking in knowledge of the villa. "How does the airconditioning work we asked", "don't know came the reply", "how do we work the television", "don't know" came the reply and so it went on. Oh but it gets better. On arrival home from dinner on our second night our ensuite floor was covered in the contents of the sewerage tank! After intimating that it was our fault by our friendly owners rep, we were moved to another villa for the night which turned into the remainder of our trip. We were told on departure by the ladies assistant that in fact it was not our fault as the toilets had been blocked by a teddy bear being flushed down the toilet! Overall the villa was quite nice but the property it was set on is tired and l would say not completely finished.
