Tongtip Mansion

We came to spend the night in Chaweng away from our hotel across the other side of the island, and found this budget hotel. Upon being shown the room we were pretty impressed for only 30aud a night. Clean room, good quality bed, polite staff, good location (just one street off the main road, 10 minute walk to the main bars, 2 minutes on a moped), good A/C. Is quite central so can be quite noisy at night. Important to note that it goes by 'Poolsawas'; we wandered around for a while before we realised. Nothing super fancy but just what we needed.

Location is ok near Central mall , chaweng beach is 10 mintues walking . Rooms are big , but aircon is not powerful just normal , airplanes just fly over the hotel as the airport is near so you can hear the sound every time , during our stay one block was under construction so lots of noise of drill machines started early morning hence was not able to sleep properly , single guys walking back from clubs late night will find many troublesome lady boys on the way. Blankets had foot marks on them . Bathroom was clean with shower gel .

The location is suburb - quiet, yet minutes away from all the action. You're just a couple of minutes away from Chaweng's party centre, walking distance to the Chaweng Night Market (lovely) and very close to the beach. Rooms: spacious and immaculately clean. There's a fridge. There's a pharmacy & a convenience store right downstairs. Powerful AC, strong wifi signal in the lobby (and pretty good in the room most of the time). Service: awesome, the staff were so helpful and always friendly If you stay here, don't miss Bongoes restaurant downstairs right around the corner (as you exit the hotel, walk straight towards the road and look to your left before crossing) The food here is some of the absolute best vegetarian Thai we're had. They also serve seafood & european dishes. Cheap and delicious, the service if fabulous. Much better value and overall experience compared to all the busy restaurants in on the party street steps away.
