Wanchareon Resort

Family owned place with very limited English but do their best to try and help. A row of 8 house all the same. Some has permanent residents in and the others are rented. Location is near Chewang Lake. Close to Tesco Lotus .. 7/11 and some local restaurants , laundrettes and hairdressers. Chewang town is 10 mins by Motorbike....Lamai 20mins ...Bophut 20mins ..Fishermans village 15 mins ... So pretty central. Decent sized houses the only thing we found was that is wasn't exactly clean when we arrived so had to give it a once over ourselves. All old and worn Furniture. No kitchen amenities like cups . plates cutlery , kettle. Just a fridge. Bedroom a bit musty and the beds have seen better days...but have AC. Just a fan in the lounge area and TV has cable but it is like looking at it through a snowstorm.Doors have gaps in that allow small airplanes through let alone mosquito's . WiFI is free but slow and sometimes fails on you. If you are looking for serenity then I warn you. Cockerels are on it at 4 a.m. Quite heavy traffic on the road that leads into the street and we had a car garage behind us that was busy until 7 - 8 pm most nights. Nice pool which tends to gain a '' green '' tinge after a week, It then gets it's weekly clean and then looks ok in the morning as if by magic. This place suits 2 young couples that want to party for a week or 2 and have a place that is a stones throw from most attractions ....Not for families. Bike rentals are available here too. Water and electricity are charged ..15 and 8 THB per unit. I personally would not return as we saw better rentals available , at more peaceful location and with more modern facilities for the same price. I am talking 1 month rental and longer. But for young people over for a week or 2. It will do them fine and not break the bank.
