Blue Diamond Resort

The resort is very well located if you want to stay near sairee beach with all the bars, restaurants and night life. Is is near but far enough to allow good rest. The breakfast is ok, the rooms are big (some have direct access to the pool).

We stayed 7 nights with 2 kids at this lovely resort located at the quiet end of the busy street right from the pier, walkable so you can forget needing a taxi. The family room with bunk beds worked perfectly, no drawers space but more than made due with the wardrobe and shelves. Room was cleaned daily, A/C, lots of towels, safe, small fridge for snacks and drinks from the grocery store, kettle, glasses, coffee and tea. A Smart TV had Netflix and other apps for some evening chill time after long days of exploring the island - everything we needed. Pool was a great spot with shade and sun, not super busy and could always find a lounger. The beach was nice, limited seating, and you could snorkel right off the beach and see lots of fish, coral and the ship wreck (sharp bottom so protect your feet). The breakfast set up was perfect every day and we ate most lunches here too as it was great value and lots of choices for adults and kids. There was ice cream and a great selections of drinks in the lobby coolers for purchase. The Thai people who run/own the hotel were wonderful, friendly people and helped us out with whatever we needed. Overall, it was great value for money, and had everything one would need. The location was absolutely perfect, everything walkable with dozens of options for dinner, tours, dive shops shopping and other amenties (money exchange, laundry, pharmacy etc.) all from your front door.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay and I miss the Blue Diamond already. The staff were fantastic-we arrived at 8.30am as that’s when our boat arrived and the hotel staff worked hard to have our room ready by midday-very much appreciated after a long evening travelling. The hotel is clearly a family run hotel and the service is fantastic. We paid extra for a room with pool entry from the balcony-so worth it. Don’t let any negative reviews put you off-I don’t understand how you can’t love this place!
