Wattana Village Resort

We have visited here several times and found it used to be a perfect get-away, but this time as we walked to our room, we noticed that the pool was green. Upon closer inspection, we could not see to the bottom even in the shallow end. When we got to our room the walls were so thin that the people in the next room sounded like they were in our room. The staff was gracious to move us to another section, and we saw it was quite run-down compared to earlier stays. There was a table fan in the room, and the air conditioner did not work. We did not complain because it was cool enough that day. The restaurant had not changed, and the buffet breakfast is still great. The staff was friendly, but not the same people or the same place we once knew. We could not use the pool, and the scenery and the noise around us was not very restful.

I was here with a group of 30 girls for an overnight! PERFECT! Lots of little spots for people to hang out in. Beautiful garden areas everywhere. Good food! Clean and well cared for. Nice pool. Hope to come back again someday.

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. We choose the hotel to have a more peaceful enviroment for our vacation, something we certainly got. The hotel also has a very senic natural enviroment, excellent for pictures. The pool is nice, probably the cleanest pool I've ever encountered at a hotel. We stayed there during the rainy season but the pool was still pleasant and enjoyable to swim in (even while it was raining). The staff are all very friendly, they even helped us order foods to be delivered, something which can be difficult to do as the websites of some delivery services say the hotel is out of range. The hotel is within range, but ordering through the reception is much faster and easier than trying to figurer out a thai food ordering website. The hotel also has vouchers that give cheaper taxi fares around Mae Sot, nice for exploring and shopping without a rental car. Overall a great experience and we'll be using the the hotel as our go-to hotel whenever we're in Mae Sot.
