Sukorn Cabana Resort

Does not exist anymore. Bungalows have been torn down. Only a ruin left. The beach in front of the former resort is now free of any activity and you can have it all for yourself. Lots of wood around to make a nice campfire and enjoy the silence at night.

This is a smaller operation, family run. Some 20 bungalows and rooms in a beautifully landscaped beachside psrk. The restaurant will go out of its way to cater for your demands, given sufficient notice. Full bar, massage bicycles, the lot. The wooden Seaview bungalows could do with some maintenance TLC, but nothing serious. Kind of adds to its charm. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

I was supposed to lead a personalised tour to Khaolak but changed my plan almost at the eleventh hour. And my client and I had an unforgettable and wonderful experience at Sukorn island-perhaps Sukorn Cabana Resort. First and foremost, my experience started off with the reservation personnel named Krue. Krue was prompt in every e-mail reply prior to my trip and I was truly impressed with that. And the resort manager named Alee and his staff were very welcoming, accomodative and friendly. Every single concern was being attended by them promptly and attentively with a smile. Personally, I give a thums-up for this resort. It has its own private and well kept beach(not a very long beach).The only draw back is if you are looking for white sandy beach, then it may not be the beach for you.(there is no 'white-sand' beach in whole Sukorn island though). But if you truly want a quiet get-away resort, I strongly recommend you check this place out. Food served here is above average. Nevertheless, I like this countryside island so much as tourists are far outnumbered by locals. The island offers a very laid-back atmosphere and is perfect for those seeking an ideal get-away from touristy places. You may want to rent a bike to tour this unique countryside island in half a day to mingle with the warm-hearted and welcoming locals, though they may not be able to understand your language. All in all, it has been a memorable and unique experience visiting this island. Go and experience how wonderful this island is!
