Kacha Resort & Spa Koh Chang

Our stay at Kacha Resort at the end of July 2026 was unfortunately disappointing. First of all, we would like to mention the positive aspects. The entire staff was always friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. We would especially like to thank the restaurant manager, who proactively personally took the time to sit down with us, ask for honest feedback, and discuss possible improvements. We truly appreciated this openness. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the hotel does not meet the four-star standard advertised on inline booking portals or it‘s own web site. The entire property is showing its age and would benefit from more extensive renovation and maintenance. We understand that the restaurant is currently being renovated and is expected to be completed in October. However, we believe guests should be informed about this before arrival instead of discovering it only after checking in. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay. However, throughout the resort there were discarded furniture, old chairs, and construction materials left in plain sight, in some cases even along the walkways, forcing guests to walk around them. The restaurant itself also looked unfinished, with parts of the roof temporarily covered by a plastic tarpaulin. Overall, the resort felt neglected rather than welcoming. Our biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The selection was very limited and far below what we would expect from a four-star hotel. There was no selection of cheese or cold cuts, no bacon, no waffles or pancakes, and very little variety overall. Even the hot dishes were repeated on a very short rotation. The fruit selection was equally disappointing. Instead of taking advantage of Thailand’s incredible variety of tropical fruits such as mangoes, rambutans, lychees, or dragon fruit, breakfast offered the same fruits every morning: pineapple, watermelon, and honeydew melon. On our first morning, dirty dishes and leftover food were collected and transported through the restaurant on a dirty service trolley carrying blue plastic buckets. This was extremely unappetizing and not something we would ever expect to see in a hotel claiming a four-star standard. We have travelled extensively throughout Thailand and Asia and have stayed in many four- and five-star hotels in destinations such as Krabi, Khao Lak, Koh Samui, and Bali. Unfortunately, Kacha Resort was by far the weakest experience we have had in terms of food quality and the overall condition of the property. In summary, the dedicated and friendly staff simply could not make up for the hotel’s shortcomings. Guests who save all year for a special holiday expect to spend those precious vacation days in a well-maintained resort with a restaurant that lives up to its advertised standard. Sadly, that was not our experience at Kacha Resort.

We arrived there while they have happy hour promotion and we loved the drinks. Pretty good atmosphere and nice night view. Also the staff called Jesse, quite helpful and friendly. They also have place to play snooker and video games. Love it

Staffs are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are cleaned and nicely, good foods. The place is stunning because of front of the sea.
