Normandie

I enjoyed my stay at the Normandie Hotel. All the staff were warm and friendly. My room was spacious and clean. I enjoyed the breakfasts (especially the fish cakes) and walks to the corner store, grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurants just minutes away. The hotel does not have a gym or fitness area, but pool was a great asset on those hot days.

I’ve been staying at the Normandie hotel in Trinidad for 3 years now over the Carnival period (Feb/March). This is the most expensive hotel time across the island. However, this is one of the most affordable carnival hotels and, for the cost, this hotel provides great value! It’s a boutique hotel in a lovely tropical setting at a great location in the city which gives it a feeling of ‘home away from home’. The rooms are clean and a few steps away from the pool and dining areas. Note - the new wing has modern rooms, but all rooms are comfortable. The complimentary local breakfast is tasty and the Carnival breakfast is a great buffet with several really good options. Chef Nicole is very thoughtful about her daily menus and wants to ensure the guests enjoy her food - which I did very much!!! Dining room host Ms Sabrina was very attentive and always made sure I had what I needed. Even putting breakfast aside for me when I came in late morning after my carnival partying! The head housekeeper Ms Emerlyn made sure my room was well kept and the team, including maintenance and security were very helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Ms Marlene at the front desk who is very friendly, organized and attentive. She handles my booking seamlessly end to end and always goes out of her way to ensure I have a wonderful stay! I even met the owner, Ms Donna, who is also welcoming and responsive to my needs. I highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel for your time in Trinidad. I’m already booked for Carnival 2027!

Good hotel with very friendly and customer oriented staff. optimal location for the carnival. Only 15-20 minutes walk away.
