Sun Palm

As with many visitors I imagine, we stayed here as part of a 2 day Sahara visit. We weren’t informed of the hotel we were staying at but I’m probably glad about that. The room was extremely dated, thankfully had an air conditioner machine which worked but the bed wasn’t at all comfortable and the shower was mediocre. It felt safe even though it didn’t insulate us from the outside noise. Coming from the hotel we came from, it felt like a steep downgrade. Dinner and breakfast was basic/not the tastiest, food that was brought out already cold. Staff were nice enough but I honestly don’t think this would be a hotel I would chose to stay at if given the choice

We stayed here as part of a Sahara excursion for one night. Upon check in, a member of staff grabbed our small holdall and walked away with it to our room then wouldn’t release it until my husband gave him a tip. The room was spacious but very tatty. The beds and pillows were hard like bricks plus the the bedding itchy. There was no toilet roll in the bathroom and the towels looked dirty and had an awful odour. Luckily, we brought our own of both so used those. Toiletries and hand soap were provided but were half used by past guests which is poor for health & safety reasons. Fortunately again, we had our own to use. The shower was hand held and the spray was akin to someone spitting and the water cold. The buffet dinner and breakfast wasn’t appetising so we just had some bread and a dessert in the evening plus yogurt the following morning. The staff were unwelcoming and noticeably favoured the French guests. It was tolerable for the time we spent there.

My time here has been truly well spent and well worth my time. The atmosphere the staff the food the everything was amazing. Thank you to the bar staff who helped me unwind in a great way. Thank you to the cleaning crew and security crew who kept the place clean and safe. Thanks to my reservation desk hostess Zeinab… she made sure I was well taken care of with a pleasant and friendly attitude adorned with a beautiful smile. TY 🤗🫶🏾
