Excel Hotel Hammamet

I stayed from May 12, 2026, to May 18, but I had to cut my stay short due to horrible conditions within the hotel, a very young and disrespectful staff at the reception, and only promises at the so-called restaurant. For four days, the same meal: spaghetti and rice. For the first time in my life, I saw this situation at the pool: murky, greenish, cold water, and when I complained at the reception, I was not allowed to see the manager on the pretext that she was busy. As for the rooms, it’s a disaster: dirty sheets, humidity on the walls, and in the bathroom. I asked for a complaint register, and the receptionist handed me a key movement log. When I told her it was not the right one, she started laughing. A catastrophic hotel to be avoided at all costs. I cut my stay short because they are scammers, plain and simple.

It doesn't even deserve half a star.

How to describe this shabby hotel ... Dirty, obsolete, the staff at the front desk is not pleasant. Indoor common areas marked non-smoking people smoke and throw their butts on the ground. Outdoor swimming pools are filled with saltpetres, the garden furniture run down. The indoor pool the water is cloudy, gross. The rooms are dirty, unhygienic, the furniture falls into ruins, even are non-existent like a simple toilet seat. In short this hotel should be closed, does not even deserve a 1 star rating. Regarding their 3 stars we do not know where they come from ... Does not even match a Formula 1 in France Do not hesitate to book at this hotel but look elsewhere, you will save your time and money.
