We have just returned from a family holiday, 2 adults and a 14 year old and wow what an absolutely fabulous week we have had. From the minute we arrived on the 13th August, to the second we left 20th August we have enjoyed every moment. The location, pool and rooms are superb. The beach is steps away from the pool area, allowing shared time across both during your days. The beach is well kept, with abundance of sun beds. Dont worry about running down at 5am in the morning, there are certainly no sun bed wars here. In fact when we arrived at 12.30, after check in, the life guard kindly found us some beds to enjoy our first afternoon. The food in the restaurant is traditional and there is something for everyone- in fact there so much variety we had to circle the restaurant debating what wonderful dishes we would explore. The quality, taste and variation is one of the best we have seen in AI resort. We sat at a usual table across our stay, where Bechir treated us like royalty, his attention and kindness made dining a enjoyable experience. On our last evening, he dressed the table in colour and traditional flowers to celebrate our farewell dinner, something that we will never forget. During the day, you would look up to see Ali and Oussam bringing you your favourite drinks, without asking they knew what you liked and were the nicest people to talk to and get to know, they work so incredibly hard, in addition the pool bar staff couldnt do enough to make your day pleasant and hydrated. Our son attended the pool snack bar for his daily crepe, where again the variation and snacks on offer were tasty and sometimes just what you needed if you didnt fancy a big restaurant type lunch. The pizzas are amazing and definitely worth an afternoon taster. Ahmed made my son feel welcome and safe when attending the snack bar independently and his service was impeccable. The evening entertainment was a real plus, a wonderul seating area awaits you after dinner, including table service where Baha never left you without a drink and a smile. You have the best of both world, music, drinks, views of the sea, followed by themed entertainment later in the evening. The shows we watched were worth the trip to the theatre, or beach. During our stay, the animation team welcomed us with open arms, they adored our son, and we had so many memorable laughs with them, they were like an extended family for the week. Teeta, Amen, Billy and Alex created a wonderful experience for all to enjoy. Our son will remember Alex forever, their personal approach to our family was the icing on the cake. If you visit, try and see Freddie to enjoy the market, he made us feel safe and told us lots about the Tunisian traditions during our tour. If you like jewellery, see Mustafa in the shop, he works incredibly hard to provide a life for his family, and made me the most beautiful ring to symbolise and remeber this wonderful holiday. He is a great and kind man, and we enjoyed learning lots about the culture from him. A shout out to the life guards who do not take their eyes off the pool, a refreshing change to some holidays we have experienced, so great job guys! During my stay I was impressed with the attention to detail at the reception day and night, and I thank Houssem for helping me when not feeling 100% one evening. The hotel is immaculate throughout, and filled with a family feeling that isnt experienced in all hotels these days, we have never been somewhere and met such wonderful people, the hotel should be incredibly proud of their team and staff, I certainly would be. If you want an experience that fills you with the most happiest of memories then this is the hotel for you. We will certainly be returning... Tunisia has a special place in our heart after our experience ♥️ Keep doing what your doing iberostar team! From Ade, stella and theo (the lowe 'big boss' family)

Very nice experience at the Iberostar Diar El Andalous! Overall, we had an excellent stay and particularly appreciated the quality of the services offered. The highlights: • A very pleasant arrival with a warm welcome. • A nice touch upon our arrival: soft drinks were available in the room. • Entertainment throughout the day, with also very nice evenings, including two shows every night. • The possibility of having lunch at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient. • Always enough spots available at the beach, even at times when one might expect it to be more crowded. • Very varied cuisine, with a special mention for the kind and welcoming servers. As well as the savory items offered and the fresh juices at breakfast, which I particularly enjoyed. • The All Inclusive Soft package is very attractive: snacks are available almost all day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. As well as the Moorish café, mint tea from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. • The late breakfast is an excellent idea and really convenient for people who want to enjoy their morning more. • Water is always available and easily accessible, with water stations near the rooms. There is also a coffee corner, which is very convenient and pleasant, especially for having a coffee or a drink at any time. • Another real plus: free access to the hammam and sauna and a water activity at no extra charge. • The possibility also to enjoy an à la carte restaurant by reservation, which brings a nice variety to the stay. Small point to improve: Regarding the à la carte restaurant, the organization of reservations could be improved. The person in charge of reservations told us that the restaurant was full quite abruptly, even though we had tried to book before the required 24 hours. A warmer welcome and more flexible communication with Tunisian clients, as is done with foreign clients, would be truly appreciated. It is a small detail, but it can make a big difference in the customer experience. Unfortunately, we had a real disappointment regarding the hammam and sauna area. These services are advertised as being part of the hotel's amenities, but on-site, the welcome from the manager of this area was very unpleasant. We had the impression that she was trying to avoid letting us benefit from these services, notably by telling us that there was no hammam and the sauna is not free. Another point to improve: the room on the -1 floor had an unpleasant smell of humidity or staleness, which also diminished our comfort during the stay. Apart from these points, we really enjoyed our stay. A hotel that I recommend for the quality of its services, its atmosphere, its beach, and especially for the diversity of the services offered.

As this is a 5-star hotel belonging to the Iberostar chain, and considering the high price we paid for our stay, we expected a much higher level of service and overall experience. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay did not meet the standards we expected. I would like to highlight the following issues: - Restaurant safety and maintenance: We noticed a broken chair in the restaurant, which was left without immediate intervention. For a 5-star hotel, we believe such issues should be addressed immediately, especially when they may present a safety concern. - Adults-only swimming pools: There were children under two years old in both of the pools designated for adults. Apart from not respecting the concept of an adults-only area, this also affects the cleanliness and tranquillity that guests expect from these pools. - Air conditioning: The air conditioning in the restaurant and reception areas was extremely poor. During our stay, between 16 and 20 August, the conditions were particularly uncomfortable due to the heat. Having meals in such inadequate air-conditioning conditions is far from what we would expect from a 5-star hotel. - Entertainment: The entertainment programme was rather basic and lacked variety. It mainly consisted of dancing, saxophone performances and bands, with very few genuinely interesting or varied shows. For a 5-star resort, we expected a much richer and more diverse entertainment programme. - Drinking water: The drinking water provided appears to be filtered tap water, and there are no bottled water options. While we understand the environmental considerations, we believe that at this level of hotel, guests should at least have the possibility of having bottled water, particularly given the price of the stay. - Welcome experience: The welcome was also disappointing compared with what we expected from the Iberostar brand. There were no fresh juices or meaningful welcome amenities, and even simple welcome gestures seemed to require guests to ask for them. This does not give the impression of a truly 5-star welcome. For me never come back to this hotel
