Very clean, comfortable and quiet hotel with friendly staff. While we didn’t use the spa facilities, there are many quiet nooks and crannies where you can relax in a very relaxed environment. The hot springs pool varies in temperature, some days a bit too hot to enter more than dip your feet, and other times very comfortable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a hotel in the Nefta/Tozeur area. Food also was quite good.

A beautiful hidden gem of a hotel, eco friendly, with only a few rooms, offering a very personal service (we were the only people there!). Easy to book online, friendly greeting and a simple check in (complimentary tea, coffee, water and juice throughout your stay). The room was amazing, a large double bed, a large wet room style shower, separate WC, a small table and chairs and the most amazing lounging viewing area, out the huge windows across the oasis (absolutely stunning, and an amazing sunset). There was also a natural hot spring swimming pool. We also had our evening meal and breakfast here. Evening meal started with Brik (my new favourite thing - filo pastry with potato and a soft runny egg- almost like a Spanish omelette - simple yet stunning!) Then a mid course of a pepper and tomato vinaigrette salad. Main course of chicken, fries, rice and salad. Fruit salad for dessert, along with a lovely bottle of Tunisian Red Wine. Breakfast was a buffet of pancakes, bread, cheeses, cold meat, fruit, boiled eggs, etc. All in all, pretty amazing, would definitely go again. Great stunning views.

If you want five star luxury, stay at Anantara.
If you want a cozy place at a good price then Dar Hi fits the bill.
I arrived in the evening and was advised the warm spring fed pool would be a bit chilly in early April so can’t comment. I also didn’t try dinner in the cafeteria style dining room with a large window overlooking the oasis. Breakfast was a bit meager. The crepes were good but went quickly. They have fresh O juice and locally made jams which are very good. Some yoghurts and a good selection of natural teas including absinthe. You can also get hard boiled eggs and bread. Think a bit better than a continental buffet.
The room was small but cozy. I liked being in a higher level. I had a huge window to enjoy the view sitting on cushions. The light streaming in in the morning from the toilet and shower windows (split design on each side of the room) into the gaily colored walks was neat. There is a fan, aircon, plenty of hot water. WIFI worked well. The room was clean.
All in all I would rate this a three star hotel. Service was friendly and DJ had no complaints. But neither was I wowed either. The view was very average and I couldn’t really tell I was staying in an architectural eco gem.
