Mediterra Art Hotel

Hello. In 25 years of visiting Turkey, I’ve never seen anything like this. Let's start with the reception: it needs a serious overhaul—except for two young guys there who were super friendly. In contrast, there was a woman who amused herself by taking photos of the room while I was out, only to demand money later for so-called stains on the towels—it’s shameful. I had to remind her that I paid for daily room cleaning (though it was only done halfway). As for the pool: aside from seeing a cleaning robot in it, I never set foot in the water; it was purely decorative, with no sun loungers. Breakfast was the same Turkish spread every day—cheese, tomatoes, peppers, olives, and tea—with coffee costing extra. The state of the room was disastrous; there were screws sticking out above the headboard—so much for safety. It was also incredibly noisy; revelers in the street were shouting until 3 a.m. I had to contact my tour operator to put a stop to the demands for money over dirty towels. Don't expect any helpful local information either; some staff speak French, but only when it suits them. All in all, once was enough—I strongly advise against staying here.

My husband and I recently stayed here for three nights, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with a smile. The restaurant deserves a special mention – both the breakfasts and dinners were absolutely incredible. Every meal was delicious, and the restaurant staff were just as warm and attentive as everyone else. Our room was fairly basic, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was a small fridge with complimentary water, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom was compact but spotlessly clean and well equipped, with a clean shower and toilet, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hairdryer provided. There was also plenty of storage space, with a wardrobe and shelving for all our clothes. The location couldn’t have been better. Right in the heart of the Old Town, we were surrounded by fantastic restaurants, shops, and everything we needed. It was only a short walk to the marina, the beach, Hadrian’s Gate, and many of the city’s other attractions. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and perfectly located place to stay.
