Perla Mare

Hotel has no smoking policy however every level has an asthrey by the lift and matches and asthrey in the rooms. Specially between Lobby to level 2 impossible to breath early mornings. We had to move rooms several times due to air conditions are not working in the 35 degree temperature. Poor breakfast, cooked left over's from previous mornings. Unable to accommodate basic requirement such as an omlette or fried eggs. Hotel owner sleeps around the lobby area, relaxed like his house putting his feet on the coffee table whilst watching TV or sleeping in the garden swing. Hotel seems to be run very basic and limited funds requires a lot of update.

There is little as desolate as a beachfront in winter, and the Perla Mare does nothing to lift the spirits from the closed shops and cafes, grey skies and empty streets. Situated on the Konyaalti seafront, the hotel is in fact separated from the beach by a dual carriageway and construction site. There is a sea view, but hardly appealing. Admittedly my visit was out of season, but I suspect I was the only guest, certainly the ony one at breakfast. A small room, hard double bed with just two pillows, and, believe it or not, an old-fashioned TV with a limited selection of channels. At least the internet and air-conditioning worked, but there is little to recommend and certainly no frills or extras. A possibility for holiday makers when all else is booked, but there are plenty of better hotels in the area. I was not asked to fill-in a form or sign anything on arrival, and it crossed my mind that this would be an ideal winter hideaway for a spy from a John Le Carre novel, but not much else.

The room did not fit the description in any way on booking.com Could not change your mind in entering the room. But a fantastically located hotel, and we enjoyed the complimentary acces to the beach acroos the street including benches.And the spa was fantastic ! Staff was friendly and helpful, so all in all a good stay for three days.
