It’s the second year running we have stayed at Kaya Belek in September.
We got back yesterday and have on the whole enjoyed it. I must say though that the hotel is very tired You can tell even in the space of a year. We don’t normally go back to the same place twice, but in 2025 had a brilliant time. This year they were just a few grumbles the staff serving are brilliant.
I understand the hotel is being shut in December for a long period of time, which hopefully will definitely benefit it. We do love Belek for the Golf and will be back in a few years, but we will try somewhere else next time.
The gripes we had menu is the same virtually every night in the restaurant and the cleaners didn’t really clean the hotel rooms adequately. We don’t spend long in the bedrooms but that’s not the point.

We stayed at Kaya Belek for 14 days. We have been travelling to Turkey for around 30 years and are used to staying in good 5-star resorts. Unfortunately, Kaya Belek was a major disappointment for us and we would not return.
When we arrived, the hotel initially had no record of our reservation. This was eventually resolved, but at check-in we were given virtually no information about the hotel. We were simply handed our room cards and that was it. Nobody explained the facilities, restaurants, reservation system or what was included in our stay. We had to discover everything ourselves. As a result, we only found out during the last few days how to use the à la carte restaurant, despite staying for 14 days. With proper information at check-in, we could have made much more of our holiday.
We stayed in a suite, but unfortunately it was very poorly maintained, outdated and absolutely not what we expected from a suite in a 5-star resort. We understand that the hotel is planning a renovation after this season. While that may be good news for future guests, it does not change our experience. We paid the full price for our stay, just like any other guest, and a future renovation does not justify accommodating paying guests in rooms that are already in such poor condition. We expected a standard appropriate to both the price we paid and the hotel’s 5-star classification.
Even after raising our concerns, there was apparently no better or more luxurious room available. Had we known beforehand what condition the accommodation was in, we would never have chosen this hotel for the amount we paid.
The food itself was generally good, although after 14 days we found it became very repetitive.
There were certainly some positives. The animation team was fantastic, and Mustafa from the pool service was exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. He absolutely deserves a special mention.
Unfortunately, our experience with some of the other staff was very different. Some came across as arrogant, and at times we felt that certain staff members were mainly interested in female guests or in guests from whom they expected tips. As a woman, this made me feel quite uncomfortable on several occasions.
What concerned me most, however, happened at check-out. Guest Relations asked me to complete what I understood to be a survey. A member of staff then took my phone, but did not actually ask me any questions. Instead, a 5-star rating was submitted from my phone in my name. I did not personally choose or enter that 5-star rating. I found this completely inappropriate, and it has seriously affected my confidence in the online ratings of this hotel.
Reviews are an important part of deciding which hotel to book, so I believe this experience is important to mention. I cannot say how other reviews were submitted, but I can say exactly what happened with mine, and my actual experience certainly did not reflect the 5-star rating that was submitted from my phone.
Normally, after a holiday in Turkey, I am genuinely sad to go home. After these 14 days, this was the first time I actually felt relieved to leave.
Sadly, for us: never again Kaya Belek.

To be blunt - the main drawback is the external wear and tear of the guest rooms and corridors on the floors (housekeepers clean on "2", invite them and I will teach them the basics of the job ☹️). There are no complaints about all other issues - employees try to fulfill all requests quickly and competently, although we had to wait a whole day for the kettle repair (which is relevant with a small child). The reception staff are all very kind, but Anna especially helped us with all our questions (my son pushed a small car under the bed, we couldn't get it out ourselves, but thanks to Anna the car was with us in 30 minutes🤗)! I also want to mention Dinara - the guest relations employee - thank you for your help, you made our vacation comfortable❤️🌷 The territory is clean, beautiful, and the beach is cleaned; we even watched an employee sweeping the paths in the evening. And now, don't worry about feeding a small child! Feeding from the adult table: purees, rice, pasta, meat in different variations, steamed fish, soups and porridges on "3", but it's not critical, but the children's table raises questions... everything there is cold and stale... But, overall, the hotel left good memories 💐
