Villa Side Residence

We stayed at Villa Side Residence for 4 nights and 5 days between September 8th and September 12th, 2026. On the fourth day of our holiday, the heavy door frame on the right side of our room door came loose and fell on my wife's head. Due to the weight of the object, the incident could have resulted in a much more serious injury. After the incident, my wife suffered from a headache, and unfortunately, the last two days of our vacation were filled with worry and stress rather than enjoyment. A heavy object falling on a guest in a hotel room should absolutely not be seen as a simple technical problem; it is a serious matter directly related to guest safety. When we spoke to Guest Relations, we were offered a simple à la carte meal and room decoration for our future stay. Frankly, given that a heavy object fell on my wife's head and this ruined the last two days of our vacation, this offer didn't satisfy us. I would particularly advise guests considering staying at this hotel to take into account whether physical security checks in rooms and common areas are adequate. It's a great stroke of luck for us that we got through this without much more serious consequences. We were not expecting special treatment from the hotel, but rather an approach befitting the seriousness of the incident and reasonable compensation.

We went to the hotel with 3 families. We stayed in a duplex family room. The rooms are cleaned daily; the cleanliness is excellent. The breakfast was very good. The variety of lunch and dinner options is excellent. We usually ate lunch at the restaurant by the sea and were very pleased. The sea is the best we've ever seen, perfect for families with children; it gradually gets deeper and is completely sandy with no pebbles whatsoever. The staff are all exceptionally friendly. We were three families who stayed in rooms overlooking the pool. We would like to thank Ms. Tansu for helping us with the location and other matters. We are planning to stay at the same hotel again next year. We used their spa; it was reasonably priced and lovely. We would also like to thank all the staff and the hotel management. I give it a perfect score of 10 out of 10.

They show you pictures and ratings of this hotel, its pool, aqua park, and rooms, and then they direct you to Villa Side, a subsidiary of the same company, which they claim is a four-star hotel. I absolutely do not recommend it. Our four-night, five-day holiday experience was terrible. When we arrived, they demanded an extra 40,000 TL to make it seem like a five-star hotel, even though we had already booked and paid for a five-star hotel. We went for two months and paid a total of 84,000 TL. We only found out upon arrival that they had two separate hotels, one with 1.04 stars and the other with 1.05 stars. The hotel they placed us in had absolutely no resemblance to the pictures they showed us. We were completely scammed. I would never recommend it.
