I wanted to stay at Club Boran Mare Beach from September 3rd to 6th. I contacted Setur, the hotel's partner agency, both through their website and via their agency, and it was stated that there were rooms available at the hotel during these dates and that a reservation could be made for 55,648.02 TL.
However, when I called the hotel directly to be sure, I was told that the hotel was fully booked and there were absolutely no vacancies.
There is a serious contradiction here: If the hotel is fully booked, how can your partner agency still sell rooms for those dates? If I had completed the reservation and arrived at the hotel, where would I have stayed, in the hotel garden?
Failure to keep availability information up-to-date between the hotel and its partner sales channels can seriously inconvenience guests. I expect this situation to be clarified and the necessary arrangements to be made so that other guests do not experience a similar problem.

The facility is really great. Everything is clean. There are hundreds of employees buzzing around during the day keeping everything clean. Even the dirty dishes are removed from the table in a flash. The entertainers mostly do a good job and entertain the people with a daily changing daytime and evening program. Except for the kids' disco - that is exactly the same every day. We could already sing along to all the songs by the end. The food is extensive but rather average. The guests are predominantly Russian, at approx. 60-70%. Germans about 10-20%. Also, some entertainers only speak Russian or Turkish. What bothered us is the price-performance ratio. That doesn't fit here. The rooms are old-fashioned and the air conditioning smells like a septic tank, so you have to be tough to endure that. The adjacent beach is below average with fine and coarse gravel. The pool loungers are all gone by 7:30. Unfortunately, nobody cares. However, there are always free loungers at the beach. The selection of drinks is okay, but anyone who thinks they can get wasted on cocktails has to ask for double alcohol, because the 3 drops that are normally in them are hardly worth mentioning. We had a pleasant time at the hotel. I must mention as a negative that one of the bartenders gave me a Hitler salute when I stood in front of him wearing an FC Bayern jersey. I brought this up with him and his supervisor, but there was no insight there either. Is the hotel 5 stars? No, never. A maximum of 3 by European standards. Therefore, the price-performance ratio is not right.

Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and the reception staff was always friendly.
Our room (233) was neatly furnished. We liked the living area, and the shower had been modernized. However, the vanity in the bathroom is showing its age and should be replaced.
The pool area was nicely designed and clean. Unfortunately, almost all the lounge chairs were reserved by around 7:30 a.m., without the hotel doing anything about it. Although we always found a spot on the beach, daily cleaning would be desirable, as food scraps and spilled drinks were often in the sand. The entry into the sea could also be made safer, as the anti-slip mat ends after about a meter and is followed by a very slippery wooden surface.
The hotel grounds seem a bit worn overall. More emphasis should be placed on maintenance in some areas. For example, we noticed tiles attached with construction foam on the bridge over the pool, as well as electrical outlets hanging out of the wall in the restaurant area.
The snack bar by the pool is a positive highlight. The food was delicious, and the staff there were very friendly and accommodated requests.
The breakfast was good overall, even if communication at the omelet station was a bit difficult. At lunch, we usually found something that was okay.
The biggest drawback for us was dinner. The selection for children, in particular, was not very varied and not very appealing. Often there were mainly french fries, and when they ran out, you sometimes had to wait a long time for a refill. Many parents were looking for alternatives for their children. Our comments to the reception and later also to the head chef were unfortunately rather dismissed.
The staff was predominantly very young. Some employees were committed and friendly, others unfortunately seemed little motivated.
Overall, we had a nice vacation, as the facility basically has potential. However, from our point of view, there is a clear need for improvement, especially regarding dinner, cleanliness on the beach, and the maintenance of the facility. For us, there will therefore likely not be a second stay at this hotel.
