Located near shops and 10 minutes from the beach, staff not overly friendly, never said good morning or thank you, but worked very hard. We arrived at the hotel at 10:50pm to be told there was no room in the hotel for the first night, we were walked to a lesser hotel 3 minutes away, it was like a hostel, really basic, fire alarm hanging off the ceiling, ground floor door couldn't be locked, Aircon unit damaged. We refused to stay there so took our luggage back to the Havana and explained that we would not stay there in the other hotel for the one night. To our surprise they came up with a room in the Havana hotel by 11:30pm. Room was badly maintained, curtains hanging off the rails, smallest shower ever, no headboard on the bed and the bed was not able to be against the wall, about a 12"gap to drop your pillows down onto the dusty floor, shower controls hanging off the wall, toilet flush slipped so you can see between the tiles, the ventilation fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy.
Apart from this, the lunch and dinner were very good, tasty, fresh and plentiful, breakfast was limited and no toaster, all inclusive bar was limited, We raised all concerns with the hotel but nothing was resolved.
