Liberty Hotel Lara

Very old rooms. This is a shame, it is not 5 stars Standard. The room prices are far too high, hotel is 21 years old. We will not come again. The service is good and the food. Only one program in the evening, everything else is not special. The barman Mr. BÜLENT and his Team are perfect.

We have just returned from our visit to the Liberty Lara hotel with our 2 children (6 & 3). We had an amazing 10 nights here, the staff are very kind in particular Sami who looked after us when we hired the private pool cabanas for 4 days. The private cabanas are a luxury and perfect to grab some shade from the 40° heat and also with a shallow pool for the children to play in. To have your food and drink served to you during the day adds to the luxurious feel and we wish we had booked it more!The entertainment around the pool was fun (although very loud at times!) - the evening entertainment was good especially the Michael Jackson show. The Barbie themed pool party was also lots of fun. The selection of food during the day is amazing, we particularly loved the stone baked pizzas, the pasta bar, the patisserie & the unlimited ice creams! There’s so many great things to list…. The comfortable sunbeds, fridges everywhere full of water/soft drinks, the well needed air con in our room, the drinks & cocktails were very nice (I loved the rose wine), the fruit selection in the snack bar… the list goes on! We are already planning to visit with our family of 9 later in the year. We also used Ella car private taxi which was 20 mins from the airport and only €30, highly recommended. Thank you Liberty Lara, we look forward to returning!

It pains me to write this! I’ve been coming to this hotel, twice a year for 13 years. We had emailed the hotel, requesting a specific side which we appreciated may not be possible and we appreciated this. There was NO reply to this email. When we arrived and were shown to our room, we were allocated a room for a wheelchair user with NO balcony. My booking specifically states, limited sea view with balcony. Upon showing reception this, they stated there was nothing they could do until manager was on duty in the morning and to contact then. 9am that morning we were shown a different room that was READY and moved there & then. The whole vibe of this hotel has changed. It was always known as one of the smaller hotels but one of the best… not now. Entertainment: Reparative day in day out. No theme nights anymore. Rooms: outdated but comfortable. Cleaners… floors were left sopping in water. Bathrooms weren’t cleaned/ towels not changed and no towel art (sad I know) Pool area: New sign ups to state no untainted towels until after 10am, if you do not return within 1 hour, towels and belongings will be discarded. I get this, I do. Spilled drinks are left to the point I was sticking to the floor and an army of ants had formed. Staff are overstretched that they are under pressure and coming across as rude (they are over stretched) I raised all of this with guest relations and was told two things. We can’t control reception, it’s them against us. We have to cater to the new generations visiting our hotels! So the new generations are manky, untidy so & so’s? Ok got it! 13 years of loyalty, recommendations to family & friends down the tube as Liberty Lara has sold its soul to the big corps.x
