Stayed here for a week with my two children. Had really high expectations following the reviews. We arrived at 12:30am Turkey time and the hotel was really quiet. Reception staff were lovely and took us to our room. The buffet was open and we were so hungry after a delayed flight out. The buffet was really poor. You can usually put a meal together with pasta or rice, but there was nothing. It Was very poor. We booked a delux direct sea view room. We did not have a direct sea view. We were over looking the neighbouring hotel. Our air conditioning kept breaking and we had maintenance to our room 3 times. No big deal, but when you’re ready for bed and it’s been 40 in the day, it’s not ideal. Our holiday was ok but at most I’d say it’s a 4 star hotel. It’s nice. But nothing like we expected. We stayed at the Sensatori Akra sorgun last year and I wanted an upgrade. We usually stay at the Hilton dalaman, but we’re a bit tired of it, but I was really disappointed. No pool service. The grounds are lovely, but the grass was being cut at 1:30 when everyone is sunbathing. WiFi is poor around the hotel. Pool is full. Food wasn’t great, even when you book the al a carte. If you’re not at the pool by 8-8.30 you’re likely to not get a bed together, despite the hotels policy of not holding sunbeds. Its an ok hotel,, but we wouldn’t come back. It’s down as a 5 star plus,, but it’s far from 5 start. I did hear someone at the bar say to the bar man ‘what a place, it’s incredible. It’s beautiful’. Both my children and I looked at each other, thinking, what are we missing. We left yesterday and it was getting busier. Glad we left when we have as I think it will feel really crowded.

We loved our stay at Arum Barut. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere , all staff were happy and friendly. Room was great , balcony large, rooms cleaned to a high standard with Nespresso machine being a very good bonus. Pools and activities good and seemed plenty for kids. Whilst it was peak season it was not overly busy. Food good although we are vegetarian so there was limited choice but loads of salads etc. first time at a Barut hotel - would most definitely recommend this hotel for a family holiday.

After staying at the Anda Barut in Aug 2025 I was a bit apprehensive the Arum wouldn't live up to the same expectations. Check in was seamless after getting a private transfer. Room was lovely, modern and large with all the things you need including Hair Dryer. The wife was disappointed no Hair Straighteners like the Anda. The view from the room wasn't the greatest. Guest relations were helpful in trying to resolve but in the end we decided to stay rather than repacking and moving. We found the Arum much more compact and staff really attentive in comparison to the Anda. Special mention goes to the 4 gentleman at the pool bar (Furkan, Mustafa, Umut and Ali K). Went the extra mile and always with a smile and cocktails extra special or as they would say something lol. See photo. We did struggle to get sunbeds poolside at the Arum unless you were an early riser ie before 7am although on the odd occasion the pool attendant would remove those left before 7.30am with no one on them. No problems getting booked into the al a cartes in comparison to the nightmare we had at Anda. We did all 3 and were fab. See photos. Main buffet much smaller with less choice than the Anda but still delicious with plentiful seating and polite staff. Beach was fine with a jetty and beds on but no bar serving alcoholic drinks. You had to go to beach bar to get them. Really missed the QR codes of Anda and Titanic regarding this but no big problem. Beach bar was lovely if you wanted to escape the sun for a bit with comfy chairs overlooking the seas and the promenade. The occasionally had musicians on down there. Gym was suitable with air con and plenty of equipment in. We found the entertainment much better at the Arum when comparing to the Anda. Nightly live music at pool bar plus a show at the amphitheatre alongside day time foam parties and inflatables. No adult only area at Arum where Anda did. Patisserie was ideal despite being a smaller selection then the Anda. They even showed the World Cup games in there. Location of the Arum is a key factor. 40 min walk into Side or 50TL on the dolmus. Plenty of shops bars and restaurants plus the ruins etc. Overall when comparing they both have their advantages and disadvantages so really hard to decide which was best but still a fantastic stay.
