The Kumul Deluxe Resort & Spa

We stayed at the Kumul at the beginning of October and are absolutely thrilled! Already on arrival we felt welcome and comfortable. The whole complex is very well maintained, quiet and beautifully landscaped – ideal for relaxing. Our room was simply fantastic: very spacious, modernly decorated and with a large balcony with beautiful views of the pool. The very large pool invites you to swim and relax – just perfect! The food was varied, fresh and very tasty – everyone will find something here. The entire Service at the hotel is warm, attentive and always helpful, whether in the restaurant, at the bar or on the beach. The beach is also a real highlight: pleasantly quiet and never crowded due to the large distance between the loungers – very different from the neighbouring hotels. Our initial concerns about perhaps being a little off in the evening quickly came to an end. With the Dolmuş you could easily get anywhere at any time. In short: an all-round successful holiday! We will definitely come back

We were at Defne Kumul for the first time and we are definitely not the last time here. Our wish was tranquility, sea, sun, delicious food, a nice hotel room, nice service and please a lot of distance between the sunbeds on the beach/pool! All this was fulfilled in the Defne Kumul. Special feature is really the said distance of the loungers!!! I have rarely experienced anything like this and this is absolute luxury if you look at the surrounding hotels ;) Even the welcome was wonderfully warm. The hotel has been under its belt for a few years - but it is well maintained for that. If you're looking for Ritz Carlton, you'll have to pay for it and not complain afterwards. Price performance is absolutely top here and for anyone who is looking for peace and relaxation from everyday life, this hotel should book. Thank you and see you soon

A very nice, quiet hotel in a spacious, well-kept complex with almost huge rooms (85 square meters including terrace), a 2,500 gm swimming pool (50x50 m) and a particularly wide beach where the parasols are at a great distance and where you are looked after by friendly staff every day. The staff is very polite and accommodating by the way and also fulfills the one or the other extra request, especially in the kitchen. The Dolmus to Side, Kumköy etc. stops right in front of the hotel reliably every 2-5 minutes. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this hotel is certainly the #1 alternative in the Side-Kumköy-Gündogdu tourism area. But if you’re looking for action and entertainment and exuberant buffets that you want to share with several hundred other guests (including the hustle and bustle that ensues) and where most of the food ends up in the trash at the end of the evening, Defne Kumul is certainly in the wrong place. Negative reviews probably come from guests who had a completely different expectation wherever it came from. Those in charge of the hotel certainly do nothing to create the impression of a hip action hotel. They greet their guests in person every day. Anyone who informs themselves properly before the trip will not have any surprises. So keep an eye out when booking your holiday and don't complain unreflectively.
