Miletos

I came to Didim for a relaxing weekend and stayed at the Temple Miletos Hotel for the first time as a walk-in customer. Everyone, from the reception staff to the housekeepers, waiters, and chefs, was very helpful. The rooms were hygienic and spacious. Breakfast and dinner were served buffet-style and were very generous. So I had high expectations and I found good things... Goodbye for now. I recommend it to all my friends and look forward to meeting you all soon at my new address (Temple Miletos Hotel).

This is the first time in my life I've written such a negative review for a hotel. I'm sharing this review so that others don't experience the same disappointment. First of all, I would like to state that there was a significant difference between the photos used when I made my reservation through Jolly Tur and the photos on the hotel's website, and the scene we encountered when we visited the hotel. The images shown online do not reflect the hotel's current condition at all. When we arrived at the hotel, we saw that the building was quite old and poorly maintained. Especially in terms of hygiene, it fell far short of our expectations. The toilet in the room was heavily stained and looked unusable, and it was quite old. The bathroom layout was extremely inadequate and uncomfortable; there was no separate enclosed area for showering, the shower was located directly next to the sink. The bed sheets and pillows were also quite old, worn, and didn't give the impression of a clean stay. The moment we entered the room, we were greeted by a strong smell of dampness. The ceiling fan was covered in a thick layer of dust. Apart from that, the hotel does not have its own parking lot. I recommend that guests arriving by car take this into consideration before making their reservation. For all these reasons, we decided to leave without checking into the hotel. However, the suffering we experienced did not end there. Despite explaining the situation in detail to Jolly Tur and the hotel authorities, and pointing out that the actual condition of the hotel did not match the images presented during the booking and that there were hygiene problems, a one-night stay fee was deducted from our reservation fee upon cancellation. We were forced to pay for a hotel whose services we did not use at all. It was truly disappointing that a holiday turned into such a disappointment before it even began. Due to both the physical condition of the hotel and the circumstances we experienced, I absolutely do not recommend this establishment. I'm giving it the lowest possible score, but in my opinion, it doesn't even deserve that. To avoid disappointment, I recommend requesting and reviewing detailed, up-to-date photos before making a reservation, if possible.

My brother and I went on a holiday trip during Eid. A very warm and friendly atmosphere. Although there were minor shortcomings, they were addressed immediately. Instead of paying a fortune for a hotel that calls itself 5-star but offers less than a 3-star service, I think Miletos Hotel is quite good. Just tell me what's missing. Thanks to the staff who worked so hard for this.
