Hotel Des Etrangers - Special Class

Very cozy place located in the old town of Çarnakkale. Many local restaurants, shops and bars at walking distance. Very friendly hosts who serve you a delicious breakfast in the morning.

Hotel Des Etrangers is very close to the waterfront in Cannakele, with views available from a couple of rooms - the others are blocked by a government building. It is a great spot to catch ferries from. Good authentic bedroom, bathroom very small. Great breakfast served by Yusef, who was very helpful for our whole stay. Yusef recommended Yalova for dinner - delicious seafood on the waterfront. We dined there both nights in town.

DO NOT BOOK We had booked 2 rooms for 5 nights. Awful hotel. Electricity hung loose on the wall life-threatening, air conditioning did not work, suspension of the shower was broken, tap above sink hung loose, rotten cabinet under sink, flush button of the toilet hung loose, safe did not work, sewage smell in the room. It was written that the windows were insulated, this was absolutely not the case. A lot of noise from outside. After we showed the pictures and quietly complained the next morning the owner became aggressive. We fled the hotel to avoid a fight on his part. Lost a lot of money for nothing!!!
