Akgun Istanbul Hotel

The experience has been quite disappointing, especially considering that it is a 5-star hotel. The establishment is clearly overcrowded, which affects the quality of service and customer care. The staff, in general, was not very diligent and had an attitude that conveyed very little interest in doing their job correctly. Professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine concern for guest comfort are lacking. Cleanliness is also not up to the advertised category: we found rooms with poor cleaning and dusty closets. The towels, furthermore, were old and not in line with what one expects to find in an establishment of this category. Added to all this is an inconvenient location, which also does not contribute to making the stay especially pleasant. In short, I consider that there is a significant difference between the five stars that appear on the facade and the quality of service that is actually offered. For the price and category of the hotel, I expected much more: better facilities, greater cleanliness, and, above all, a more attentive, efficient, and professional staff.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional 9-Day Stay at Akgun Istanbul Hotel I recently stayed for 9 days at Akgun Istanbul Hotel, WorldHotels Crafted Collection, and I can honestly say it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel itself is excellent, with comfortable rooms, great facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet, which was simply amazing. There was an incredible variety of fresh and delicious food every morning, with something to suit every taste. It was the perfect way to start each day. The swimming pool was another standout feature. It was well maintained, spacious, and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day exploring Istanbul. The hotel facilities overall were excellent and added greatly to the enjoyment of my stay. What truly made my experience special, however, was the outstanding staff. Everyone was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, always willing to help with recommendations, questions, or anything else I needed during my visit. I would especially like to thank Feyyad and Züleyha. From the very first day I met them, they made me feel welcome and valued as a guest. As the days went by, our daily conversations became one of the highlights of my stay. Their warmth, kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests created a personal touch that is rare to find. They are wonderful ambassadors for the hotel and made my time in Istanbul even more memorable. After 9 days, leaving felt like saying goodbye to friends rather than hotel staff. That level of hospitality is something truly special. I highly recommend Akgun Istanbul Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. Thank you to the entire team for making my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to this beautiful city.

Terrible hotel, poor cleaning, TV did not work, phone did not work, shower faucet broken. 100% unadvisable.
