Ares Hotel Istanbul

The location was excellent, a quiet hotel, the windows we saw just brickwall, the edge of the bathroom bathtub was so high and someone with bad legs would not have been able to get in there. Beds were good. The hotel host was so lovely and friendly, the other staff were also nice. That's why 4 stars.

Great location beside all the major sights and friendly staff

Checking into a room that's hard to even call a room. Probably a better hostel. The smell of damp, the burnt wiring, the torn bedding. The TV was in the corner, propping up the fridge. And the manager's attitude is a different story. His goodwill ended immediately after the room was paid for. Tried to force his taxi to the airport 300 liras away, provided there was a 180 fixed. I hope you don't have to face his hospitality, but it's at your own discretion, fear and risk. On the roof of this hotel is a café to which everyone passing by is actively called. Appropriately, everyone drunk and cheerful comes down the stairs through the rooms.
