Blue Mosque Apart

Half the mosque was under construction during our visit, scaffolding was everywhere. Still able to see alot of the magnificent decoration though. Spotted ancient graffiti on a couple of pillars, dated 1792 & 1805. Also a viking message on a parapet from the 9th century, with the name/word Halvdam

subhanallah...one of my favorit mosque,very beutiful....amazing design,arts,an extraordinary draft,feel comfortable to be here,briliant..i love every single details in this mosque and im spechlesss right now..Allahuakbar

Our visit to the Blue Mosque was such a cultural treasure. The mosque is still being used as it was hundreds of years ago so we had to remove our shoes before entering. The chandeliers, stained glass & carpet were fraught in history. You would expect the Sultans of long ago to walk in..,
