Elan Hotel

Recently, I stayed at this hotel and personally experienced all of the issues I mentioned below. I’m honestly sharing them with you because I hope this feedback can be helpful to you. First of all, the hotel looks very old. The reception staff are very dishonest. They deny the hotel’s problems and are not willing to take any action to resolve them. The way they treat guests is completely unacceptable and reflects their own level of professionalism and upbringing. The hotel has two elevators, and each one serves a different group of rooms on each floor. What does that even mean? For example, to reach rooms 101 and 102, you have to use elevator number one, while room 106 requires you to use the other elevator. Each elevator has its own problems. For example, one of them goes only up to the 6th floor, while the other only goes up to the 5th floor. There are also a few rooms on the 7th floor. If you choose a room on that floor, you have to walk from the 6th to the 7th floor using the stairs, and there are quite a lot of them. The other elevator does not provide access to the restaurant, which is located on floor -1. So once again, you either have to use the stairs or go back to the lobby, take the other elevator, and then reach the restaurant from there. The restaurant starts serving breakfast at 7:30 AM. There is a very kind and friendly female cook working there, but the other restaurant staff are quite strange and not very friendly. They also engage in a lot of inappropriate physical joking with each other. The plates in the restaurant are extremely dirty and look terrible. They are supposed to be white, but they have become dark and discolored over time. They don't replace them and continue using the same plates. You cannot even find a single completely white plate. It is genuinely disgusting and makes you feel uncomfortable eating from them. The variety of food is very limited and definitely not at the level you would expect from a 3-star hotel. So don't expect a varied breakfast. The fruit juices do not taste natural at all. They seem to contain a huge amount of water—probably around 90% regular water mixed with only 10% juice. They have very small cups, and some of the cups are cracked or broken, yet they are still being used. The restaurant also has poor ventilation. As for the rooms, they were an absolute disaster. For example, my room did not have a refrigerator. When I complained, they told me that this particular room simply does not have a refrigerator and refused to bring one. They said, "If you don't want this room, we can change it." I went to another room and found that it was even worse. It had no functioning cooling system, the window could not be closed properly, and there were several other problems. The telephone in my room did not work either. There was no dial tone, so I couldn't call reception from the room, and they couldn't call me either. Basically, the phone was completely useless and was only there for decoration. All of the TVs in the rooms are very small, around 20 inches. At least, all the rooms they showed me had TVs of this size. The heating and cooling system in my room was old, faulty, and not working. The walls of the room were also no longer white because of the dirt. Just like the plates in the restaurant, they had become dark and dirty. The toilet and shower are in the same small area, and you can barely fit inside the bathroom. The bathroom door even hit the toilet when you opened it. If you are overweight, I strongly recommend that you do not choose this hotel, because you will not have enough space to comfortably use the toilet. The rooms are so small that they don't even have enough space for a chair. The beds are also somewhere between a single and a double bed and are not standard-sized beds at all. The electrical outlet above the bed has been installed in such an awkward position that the two switches for the bedside lamps are right next to it. As a result, you cannot properly plug a three-pin plug into the outlet, and you may even break the switches if you try. Drinking water is not replenished daily in any of the rooms, and the staff don't even seem to understand this basic request. They don't provide razors at all. There is no trash bin in the room. They only provide one small trash bin inside the bathroom, so you have to put all your rubbish into that tiny bin. They also do not allow friends or guests to enter your room, even for a few minutes. The safe in my room was broken and didn't work. When I informed them, they told me that none of the safes in the rooms worked. They said that if I had any important documents, I should bring them to the lobby so they could put them in the hotel's public safes. The public safes were also extremely small, like a honeycomb, with enough space for basically just a passport. I will also provide you with photos and videos as evidence, so you can see all of these issues for yourselves.

There's a very friendly and kind female cook there, but the other staff members at the restaurant have rather strange attitudes and are not at all friendly. They also engage in excessive physical joking among themselves. The plates in the restaurant were extremely dirty and in poor condition. They're not even white anymore; their color has darkened over time, and yet they're not being replaced. Finding a perfectly white, clean-looking plate is almost impossible. Eating from these plates really creates a bad and uncomfortable feeling. The food variety is very limited and definitely not up to the standard of a 3-star hotel. So don't expect a varied and rich breakfast. The taste of the fruit juices is definitely not natural. It seems to be mostly water; probably 90% regular water mixed with 10% fruit juice. The cups they use are also very small. Although some of the cups are broken, they are still being used. The restaurant's ventilation is also inadequate. The rooms were a complete disappointment. For example, there was no refrigerator in the room I stayed in. When I told the reception, they said, "This room doesn't have a refrigerator; that's just how the room is," and they refused to bring one to the room. They said we could change rooms if we wanted. I moved to another room, but it was even worse; it had no air conditioning, the window wouldn't close, and many other problems. My room phone wasn't working either, and there wasn't even a dial tone. Therefore, I couldn't call reception from my room. Similarly, the reception couldn't call me either. The phone was just sitting in the room, just for show, and served no purpose. The televisions in the rooms were also very small; at least in the rooms I was shown, the televisions were about 20 inches in size. My room's heating and cooling system was also broken; it was very old and not working. The room's walls, like the plates in the restaurant, were no longer white due to dirt and had darkened over time. The toilet and shower are in the same area, and you can barely move around inside the shower. Also, the bathroom door hit the toilet. If you are overweight, definitely do not choose this hotel, as you may not be able to move comfortably in the restroom. The rooms are so small they haven't even put a decent chair in them. The beds are also an odd size, somewhere between a single and a double, and definitely not a standard hotel bed. The electrical outlet is mounted at the head of the bed in such a way that the switches for the two bedside lamps are located right next to the outlet. Therefore, plugging a three-way plug into an outlet is almost impossible, and if you try, you risk breaking the light switches. Drinking water is not replenished daily in any of the rooms. It's quite surprising that even the hotel staff didn't know what such a basic issue was. There are absolutely no razor blades available. There's no trash can in the room either. There's only a small trash can in the bathroom, and you have to throw all your room's trash in there. Furthermore, the hotel absolutely forbids your friend or a guest from entering your room, even for just a few minutes. The safe in my room was also broken and not working. When I reported the situation to them, they said, "None of the safes in the rooms are working." They told me that if I had any important documents, I should bring them to the lobby and they could put them in the hotel's shared safes. The shared safe deposit boxes are also extremely small, almost like a beehive. It's almost small enough to fit just a passport. I will also share documentation such as photos and videos related to all the problems I experienced. This way you can see the situation with your own eyes.

The room is very small, hot, AC is not new and not working at the last day of staying. I will not repeate this experience again. Also, There is no solution in the emergency situation.
