I stayed at the Golden Hill in Downtown Istanbul (Çayır Meydanı Caddesi). THere are 2. I stayed at the fancier one. Even so, it was pretty terrible. The shower had no curtain, the bathroom had no where to hang towels or anything, or put toiletries. There was a big column in the room taking over any space there might have been to put a suitcase. The website says it has 3 restaurants, and they had none. The recepcionist sent us to a restaurant 2 blocks down (where they don´t speak any English). We went to the restaurant at the hotel next door, which was a much better hotel. The elevators only work about half of the time. The door was very difficult to open.
On the plus side, the beds were comfortable.
