Grand Hilarium Hotel

Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by a welcome drink (tea/coffee) at check-in, and even more by a “local mascot” – a parrot from the restaurant that casually walked over to us. A very charming and memorable touch. The reception staff were among the best we’ve experienced in Istanbul – friendly, helpful, and quick to resolve anything. We were initially given a room on a lower floor, but due to heating issues (the air conditioning didn’t work properly), it was quite cold. After informing the staff, we were promptly moved to a higher floor where everything worked perfectly. Overall room comfort was good – clean, comfortable beds, and no issues with water pressure or temperature. The location is a big advantage – the hotel is close to Yenikapı and also within easy reach of Sirkeci, which we consider two of the best areas to stay in Istanbul thanks to excellent transport connections (metro, Marmaray, trams). There is also a minimarket right next to the hotel, which is very convenient. In the mornings, we could hear the call to prayer from a nearby mosque, which is part of the local atmosphere. On the positive side, the curtains block sunlight very effectively, so you can still sleep comfortably without being disturbed by daylight. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection and regularly replenished. The only downside was that the breakfast area was quite cold. Overall, very good value for money. If the price is right again, we would be happy to return.

I had a pleasant stay at Grand Hilarium Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is in a convenient location, making it easy to explore the city and nearby attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast had a good variety and was a great way to start the day. Overall, it was a comfortable stay

4 star hotel located in a good location , we stayed because we were with 4 bikes and just arrived we were recommended a private garage nearby , a little skeptical at first then we trusted the bikes were guarded as promised the rooms are. Very spacious , the hotel and a stone's throw from the center , we stayed two nights and we always walked without using public transport , good value for money (60 € per night ) the breakfast instead was disappointing, get the rooms on the upper floors if you have a light sleep
