Hotel Les Ottomans

This hotel was over the line high luxury and superb service hotel. However it has lost it’s touch. The location is great but you can’t get your moneys worth. There is a great bar but the restaurant menu is limited. The hotel furniture and infrastructure is worn out. Do not go to the Spa as it is a rip off! Massage was a “nothing special” and you can’t get the expected great massage that you could get 2-3 years ago.

One of the places you must visit in Istanbul for a night out. The food is great and afterwards you can enjoy the bar and the music played by the DJ. The views over the Bosphorus are just breathtaking. A must but make sure you book in advance otherwise no chance of getting in.

Stay like an Ottoman Pasha in an old summer home right on the Bosphorus. More like a mini palace, It is restored with all period details - ornate woodwork , plush carpets and gilt furniture. All services and amenities are very high end. Everything from unpacking and ironing your clothes to making any kind of reservations. Fresh fruit , flowers, slippers,Terry robes for the bath and cotton ones for the pool- they have thought of everything. The pool and spa are gorgeous. We did not book any spa services but all our local friends say they are top notch. Our only complaint is that while the waterfront rooms have incredible views, they are over the lively bar which can get quite noisy. The soundproof windows help but don’t shut it out completely. This is an incredible hotel that provides a unique experience of a luxurious past. Note- most of the people who stay here travel by private car but the ferry just up the straight in Arnavutkoy is faster, much cheaper and a much more pleasant way to get downtown.
