Legacy Ottoman Hotel

Ideally situated for many of the main sights and the ferries and chosen having watched Race Across the World in England. A splendid reception area and decor throughout that does justice to its history. Our room partially overlooked buildings towards the Bospherous in 2 directions, but will shortly be further limited by current building work. Not large, but adequate with a wonderful high ceiling. As with some other parts of the hotel, the shower could definitely do with refurbishment. The large dining room has a wonderful view and the breakfast choice was good, although rather repetitive for a week's stay. As with some other areas, this room would benefit from updating. The staff were welcoming and helpful and an issue with our booking was quickly resolved. Saving the best until last, a very special mention must go to Salma who is a huge asset to the hotel. Her friendship and help during our 7 night stay really enhanced our visit. Thank you, Salma.

Quite a grandiose hotel in a good central location which could do with some updating. Good overall facilities and friendly, helpful staff including Ekrem who was highly attentive at the breakfast service. We would be happy to return when visiting Istanbul in the future.
