We stayed at Sky Kamer for three nights following our tour program, and it was bad. Number one: location. It was within 5-10 minutes walk to Grand Bazaar, which was good and bad. Good was because it was easier for to shop; bad because we only shopped once and we had to stay for three nights. Staying near a bazaar (big market) gave us a busy surrounding; we could hear from our room people talking until late at night and did not give us a safe feeling, especially when walking around the hotel.
Number two: hotel facilities. This was a very small hotel, hence, had a tiny lobby and tiny elevators, which made us difficult to move with our luggages. The complimentary breakfast was also very limited in varieties, let alone the taste, and started rather late at 7 AM. The only good thing was that the breakfast area was at the 5th, top floor that gave a better view of the hotel surrounding.
Number three: the room. It was old fashioned, had a dark and gloomy interior, and not well maintained (see pictures). One thing about the bathroom interior, the floor in the shower area was decorated with small rocks. We understood it was like going back to nature and good for your health, but the rocks put there were in a darker color that made us difficult to see whether the floor was clean or not. Thank God, the amenities worked quite okay, including the internet.
