Sky Tower Hotel Akcakoca Convention & Spa Center

Keep away.. We stayed at this hotel a few days ago.The hotel is well located but unfortunately that is the only high point. The downsides are too innumerable to mention but I will just list a few. For a start there was no WiFi. The receptionist just said as there were too many guests in the hotel that is why it wasn't working but that was just 'BS' Then after a couple of days our rooms were not cleaned and no change of towels and no toilet paper.We kept on asking the staff and also a manager but noone seemed to care and the manager even said speak to the staff.He just wasn't bothered. After 2 days they did clean the rooms but not properly and left dirty and wet towels on the bed and still no toilet paper. Also the biggest grudge was unfriendly staff who seemed to only care for the Turkish guests. They seemed not to speak or understand English however that does not excuse their attitude or their lack of room service. Now considering this was 'supposed' to be a 5 star hotel one expects a lot more. Unfortunately I had to give 1 star for writing the review but they deserve none!!!!!

The location is good for Family, quite place, the menu buffet is very good. the offer we had was BB + Lunch Snacks + early dinner from 6 - 9 pm, you will not get much of restaurants. the rooms are modest, needs maintenance, electricity was cut off 3 times, WiFi is very slow. Nice beach, swimming pool is separated for women, did not have time for Gym.

We paid for suit room to only find out a silly divided room with one bathroom. Bathroom door knob was broken along with other things. No one came to room for turn over or to clean up. There was no complimentary tea or coffee in room nor enough water or kettle, cups or glass. Upon asking for hot water we waited for 1 hour and when it didn't come we had to call a second time asking for it! I have food sensitivities and travelled across world. This is the only hotel and supposedly 5 star(!) where the chefs looked at each other and laughed away when they heard about my food allergies and said they can't do anything about it which meant to eat their food and suffer! They did nothing to accommodate my food allergies and they did nothing as room service or room Cleaning! Our suit (!!!) was on the east wing and the entire east wing on every single floor smelled bathroom including the inside of elevators! Really nasty! The worst 5 star hotel in terms of customer service, appeal and business mentality we have ever stayed that doesn't even should get 1 star! They must thing good business mean good facilities and outlook and no worries about customer service and the heck with customer satisfaction! If you care about how you are treated and want to spend your money on that, stay clear of this hotel!
