I chose this hotel for its proximity to the port, as I planned to visit the Prince Islands. Location, in that sense, is the only thing I can assess positively. Everything else was downright disappointing.
For starters, the hotel has nothing to do with the photos. It is advertised as a four-star, but in practice it does not reach even two. Front desk staff do not speak English and are not trained to give basic instructions or answer questions. Communication was practically impossible.
The room was extremely small, in sweltering heat. The air conditioning did not work, which made the stay unbearable. The only window overlooked a public staircase, so it could not be opened without completely renouncing privacy.
The bathroom was another big problem. It had no ventilation or window, which increased the heat even more. The shower was in a sorry state: rusty, dirty, and also the stand did not work, so the sprinkler did not hold and fell constantly. It was a real qualm to use it.
Regarding the advertised facilities, the supposed pool is actually a small spa located on the lower floor, outside the hotel itself. Access is limited to 20 minutes and the pool is cold water. Nothing to do with what is implied in the description.
In short, this hotel does not deliver what it promises. It was a very negative experience and I do not recommend it under any circumstances. Istanbul has many other options with a much more honest value for money.
