We booked our flight from Australia to the UK. Through Flat Beds agency as a Business Class fare with Turkish Airlines. Part of the deal was a free 3-night stay at the Sheraton Levant, Istanbul, as our stopover. Brilliant! . The flight itself was amazing. We arrived at the hotel and were warmly greeted. The front office staff, particularly EFE, were warm and welcoming. Our room on the 15th floor was lovely.. We tried the Lobby Bar, which was very nice; the staff were great. The highlight of the hotel for us was the breakfast buffet. I have never been a lover of buffets. e.gg Las Vegas hotels, kids touching the food. However, this was exceptional. Clearly most, if not everything, was made in-house. The various juices, the freshest of foods. We fell in love.
I congratulated the Head Chef on his excellent presentation. We continued to enjoy the hotel's amenities, even as Australia defeated Turkey in their World Cup game. No sour grapes; without exception, the staff congratulated us. EFE was effusive; the better team had won on the day. Such Graceful people. On leaving EFE warmly farewelled us; Hakan was a great help with arranging our transfer and luggage. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. While the hotel was great, it was every member of the staff who made our stay. We could also hear the comments from other guests how welcoming the staff were. We will definitely return.
