Ahmet Efendi Evi - Boutique Class

The room was extremely uncomfortable and small, with no space to store things; the bathroom was a nightmare with a poorly functioning shower, equipped with a curtain that stuck to you while you showered, and it flooded the entire bathroom area, causing me to slip and ruining my vacation; a nightmare hotel.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Ahmet Efendi Evi. The location is great. It’s only a five minute walk away from the Hagia Sophia, and there are many restaurants nearby. The beds were comfortable. But the best part of our stay were the hosts. They were communicative, and Youness in particular was very helpful. He was so accommodating to our needs. The guest house has a warm and cozy atmosphere. The value was great as well, especially for the area. Highly recommend this guest house for your next trip to Old Istanbul!

We booked this hotel online for a one week stay from Jan 3 to Jan 9, 2025. We got an email one week later asking us to cancel our booking because the hotel will not be able to honour it. I asked why, and I got some BS excuse that they have not set availability and prices for 2025. I noticed later that they made the same room available for a lot more money.
