Eurostars Hotel Old City

The hotel is very nice looking and very close to many tourist’s attractions in the historic old city, currency exchange is less than 1 minute walk. No need to change currency in the airport. Staff was very pleasant and polite. Breakfast was good. I really enjoyed my little room on the 6th floor with the sounds of seagulls and the mosques’ singing, I am not practicing Islam but loved the sounds of the mosques and it gives you the impression of being in an Eastern fairy tale. My only complaint was that the sliding door in the shower was coming off when you open and close it to get in and out of shower and I was afraid it would come off and break as it was made out of glass.

Everything was brilliant starting from pickup at the airport, check-in and through to the end. Staff is attentive and very helpful, speak Turkish and English but easy communicate through translator. Fantastic breakfasts, every day (we stayed there four nights) something new. Rooms are clean, served daily, towels changed every day. Everything in the room worked: fridge, A/C, etc. Our room faced backyard, very quiet. If needed they can help to arrange city tours. Definitely recommended.

The reception was helpful, always ready to answer questions, offer advice, and make our stay more comfortable. Every single person we met—whether at breakfast, in the corridors, or during cleaning—was incredibly friendly and caring. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk to Istanbul’s most iconic sights, like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and more. It made exploring the city with kids easy and enjoyable. The hotel itself is slightly old but extremely clean. Housekeeping came every day, and if we needed anything, the staff responded immediately and went out of their way to help. And the breakfast? Absolutely amazing. Fresh, delicious, and full of variety—there was something for everyone, including our kids. It gave us the perfect start to each day. Traveling with children, especially a child with special needs, is not always easy—but here, we felt seen, supported, and respected. The way they treated both of our children, including our toddler, was so kind and thoughtful. That alone meant the world to us. If you're a family, especially with young kids or children with special needs, and want a safe, clean, welcoming hotel in the historic heart of Istanbul, I wholeheartedly recommend Eurostars Hotel Old City. It made our trip not only possible but truly special.
